  • Publication number: 20050140228
Abstract: A magnetic bearing system for a rotating machine is disclosed. The magnetic bearing system provides a non-contacting radial rigid support for the rotating machine by employing two magnetic assemblies each being formed by stacked annular magnets. The magnetic assemblies are mounted separately on a shaft of the rotating machine and a shaft hole provided on the stator seat of the rotating machine for containing the shaft.

  • Patent number: 6910079
Abstract: Systems and techniques are provided for using a multi-threshold buffer model to smooth data transmission to a client. A client to receive data such as streaming media data may include a buffer. A server to transmit data to the client may transmit the data to the client at a first server transmission rate. The client buffer level may be determined at different times; for example, a first buffer level may be determined at a first time and a second buffer level may be determined at a second time. If the buffer level is at a threshold level or has passed a threshold level between the first and second times, server transmission rate information may be determined and may be sent to the server.

  • Patent number: 6762926
Abstract: The energy content of supercapacitor is determined by its capacitance value and working voltage. To attain a high capacitance and a high voltage, several pieces of electrodes and separators are spirally wound with edge sealing to form a bipolar supercapacitor in cylindrical, oval or square configuration. While the winding operation effectively provides a large surface area for high capacitance, the bipolar packaging instantly imparts a unitary roll a minimum working voltage of 5V on using an organic electrolyte. The bipolar roll is a powerful building block for facilitating the assembly of supercapacitor modules. Using containers with multiple compartments, as many bipolar rolls can be connected in series, in parallel or in a combination of the two connections to fabricate integrated supercapacitors with high energy density as required by applications.

  • Publication number: 20040124865
Abstract: Due to the test current and the test temperature of the wafer-level reliability depend on each other in those conventional arts, the result of electromigration etc is not sure cause of the test current or the test temperature and debases the reliability of the test result. In the present invention, the electromigration test and the stress migration test of the wafer-level reliability are independently controlled, respectively. Therefore, the cause of electromigration and the stress migration can be sure resulting from the test current or the test temperature respectively. Furthermore, the isothermal heater of the present invention not only can keep a whole test wafer at a more uniform test temperature, but also can offset the electromagnetism resulted from the current of the isothermal heater by the arrangement of circuits thereof for reducing the effect of the electromagnetism.

  • Publication number: 20030161302
Abstract: Systems and techniques for transmitting a data stream to a client include transmitting a data segment from one of a plurality of nodes of a continuous media server to a client according to a scheduler on the node. A system includes a plurality of data processing devices, each data processing device coupled with at least one storage device. Each data processing device includes a scheduler to schedule transmission of the data segment to a client in sequence with other data segments, and a module to transmit the data segment to the client.
