    Abstract: In some cases, a verbal harassment detection system may use machine learning models to detect verbal harassment in real-time or near real-time. The system may receive an audio segment comprising a portion of audio captured by a microphone located within a vehicle. Further, the system may convert the audio segment to a text segment. The system may provide at least the text segment to a prediction model associated with verbal harassment detection to obtain a harassment prediction. Further, the system may provide the audio segment to an emotion detector to obtain a detected emotion of a speaking user that made an utterance included in the audio segment. Based at least in part on the harassment prediction and the detected emotion, the system may automatically, and without user intervention, determine whether a user is being harassed.

    Abstract: A method and an apparatus are provided for performing a fusion reaction. The method comprises providing neutral gas within a gas chamber, supplying energy to the gas chamber to initiate heating of a cathode and ionization of the neutral gas into protons and electrons, causing formation of a conducting channel due to the ionized neutral gas, causing formation of an electron layer outside the cathode based on set of thermionically emitted electrons by the heated cathode, causing acceleration of the electrons towards the cathode to cause the heated cathode to emit a set of secondary electrons due to a potential associated with the electron layer. The set of secondary electrons enhance strength of the electron layer. The method comprises causing formation of an electrostatic potential profile with dips and peaks, due to an electron-ion two-stream instability. The protons are accelerated towards the cathode at peaks and bombardment of the protons into the cathode enables fusion reaction.

Randomly selected segments can be used as being indicative of a non-occurrence of verbal harassment. The selected subset of segments and randomly selected segments can be used to train one or more machine learning models for verbal harassment detection.

    Abstract: Disclosed are embodiments of a graphics scene detection technique that provides an adaptive scale factor dependent on an image quality, such that certain images may be downscaled prior to being displayed to preserve system resources without significantly affecting image quality for a user. The inventors recognized and appreciated that certain images may be presented at a lower resolution to a user without being perceived as lower image quality. Some aspects provide a scene detection module that determines a quality score from a graphic command output for an image. Depending on the quality score, the scene detection module may output a quality-aware scale factor that can be applied to reduce pixel resolution of an image before displaying the image to a user. Resultingly, the computing device may be improved by saving system resources including memory bandwidth, processing power for other apps or instances, without negatively affecting visual perception of the scene.

    Abstract: Various aspects of the disclosed technology relate to machine learning-based chain diagnosis. Faults are injected into scan chains in a circuit design. Simulations are performed on the fault-injected circuit design to determine observed failing bit patterns. Bit-reduction is performed on the observed failing bit patterns to construct first training samples. Using the first training samples, first-level machine-learning models are trained. Affine scan cell groups are identified. Second training samples are prepared for each of the affine scan cell groups by performing bit-filtering on a subset of the observed failing bit patterns associated with the faults being injected at scan cells in the each of the affine scan cell groups. Using the second training samples, second-level machine-learning models are trained. The first-level and second-level machine learning models can be applied in a multi-stage machine learning-based chain diagnosis process.
