Abstract: A light transceiver module is designed for electronic devices. It forms an electric connection with the electric connector of the electronic device. The light transceiver module contains a base, a light-emitting device for providing optical signals, a light-receiving device for receiving optical signals, and a main circuit board. The base supports the light-emitting device, the light-receiving device, and the main circuit board. The main circuit board has a pluggable electric connector for connections with the electric connector of the electronic device. The light transceiver module can be used to simplify and optimize the devices using it.

Abstract: A mobile device for setting a signal strength value for the mobile device to receive needed radio signals. The mobile device includes a signal strength value configuring system and a radio signal receiving unit. The signal strength value configuring system is operable to set the signal strength value for the mobile device to receive needed radio signals, utilizing a number of radio station channels detected by the radio signal receiving unit of the mobile device.

Abstract: A method for performing a servo defect compensating operation by compensating a servo-related signal in an optical disc drive and a related optical disc drive system with a DSP is provided. The method comprises: reading an optical medium by an optical pick-up unit; detecting whether a defect exists by monitoring a side beam signal; when the defect on the optical medium is detected, determining a new compensation value based on a servo error signal; and compensating the servo-related signal with the new compensation value during defect crossing to adjust servo control when the optical pick-up unit passes the defect.

Abstract: An optical lithography exposure apparatus which may be a stepper or a scanner, provides a wafer chuck that retains a wafer and at least one opaque exposure shield that extends over a discrete peripheral edge portion of the wafer thereby preventing illumination from exposing the portion of the wafer beneath the exposure shield. In a positive photoresist system, the portions of the wafer blocked from exposure by the shields, include alignment marks and the unexposed photoresist remains over the alignment marks thereby protecting the alignment marks from destruction or damage during subsequent patterning operations used to form patterns in the film being patterned.

The scroll type compressor includes a housing, a frame, a compartment, a separator, a scroll pairs, a slider, a plurality of compartments, at least a pressure-regulating mechanism, and a guiding element. The compartment in the housing is separated into a high-pressure compartment, a low-pressure compartment, and a middle-pressure compartment. The separator is disposed between the high-pressure compartment and the low-pressure compartment. The separator includes an outlet at the center thereof, and at least a passage through the separator. When the pressure in the high-pressure compartment is less than that in low-pressure compartment, the pressure-regulating mechanism is opened to exhaust pressure from the middle-pressure compartment to the high-pressure compartment.
