  • Publication number: 20120060392
Abstract: A footwear includes an insole having a first layer for the contact of the sole of a user's foot and a second layer bonded to the first layer at a bottom side. The first layer comprises a base and a plurality of ribs raised from a top side of said base and has a hardness greater than the second layer. An outsole bonds to the bottom side of the insole for contacting the ground. When a user wearing the footwear is paddling, the insole is elastically deformed and the ribs are elastically curved to buffer the pressure applied by the user, enhancing wearing comfort.

  • Publication number: 20120017470
Abstract: A paddle slipper includes an insole for the contact of the sole of a user's foot, and an outsole bonded to the bottom side of the insole for contacting the ground and defining at a bottom side thereof a front open zone, a front support zone and a rear support zone. The front and rear support zones of the outsole lift the insole so that the user's sole is kept above the ground, lowering the chance of water-wetting the sole of the user's foot when the user is paddling. A front groove is defined between front protruding blocks of the front support zone, facilitating discharge of pressure from the user's sole. The front open zone design offers wearing comfort when the user is walking.

  • Publication number: 20090133202
Abstract: Footwear is made by a process which creates a draining structure in the footwear. The footwear includes an insole that has conical through holes formed in the top and bottom sides of the insole such that the holes gradually reduce from the top side toward the bottom side. The insole is made by preparing a molten foam material and then using a hydraulic press-controlled mold to mold the molten foam material into a blank insole having a plurality of conical blind holes. Part of the blank insole is then removed to open the conical blind holes by means of the application of a cutting process, a grinding process or a punching process. An outsole is bonded to the bottom side of the insole and has a plurality of drain grooves in communication with the conical through holes for guiding water out of the insole and the outsole. An upper is provided at the top side of the insole for securing the shoe to the user's foot.
