  • Patent number: 7995439
Abstract: When an optical disc apparatus reproduces information from an optical disc, it converges a reading light beam emitted from an LED to substantially collimated light and projects it to the optical disc to cause it to be reflected by reflection surface thereof so as to make it become a reading reflected light beam. Then, the apparatus converges the reading reflected light beam by a mark layer selection lens, detects the reading reflected light beam passing through the target position by a detection region located at the confocal point of the target position and generates a detection signal. Subsequently, the apparatus recognizes the presence or absence of a recording mark based on the detection signal to reproduce the information. Thus, the apparatus can detect the state of the reading reflected light beam observed when it passes the target position and can recognize the presence or absence of a recording mark.

  • Patent number: 7978569
Abstract: A focus control section first performs a reference focus control process in which a reference optical beam is focused on a reference layer of an optical disc according to the result of receiving a reference reflection optical beam, and then switches from the reference focus control process to an information focus control process in which an information optical beam is focused on a mark layer of the optical disc according to the result of receiving an information reflection optical beam.

  • Publication number: 20110126784
Abstract: A vehicle control system 10 includes a water pump 23 with an electromagnetic clutch, an oil relief device 25, an OCV 26, a water temperature sensor 31, and an ECU 11. The ECU 11 causes the electromagnetic clutch of the water pump 23 to be disengaged on the basis of the detection result detected by the water temperature sensor 31, and stops the coolant circulation. The ECU 11 instructs the OCV 26 to adjust the lubricant pressure to low by an oil relief device 25. The ECU 11 determines whether or not the adjustment of the lubricant pressure to low by the oil relief device 25 is stopped on the basis of the detection result detected by the water temperature sensor 31 when the engagement of the electromagnetic clutch of the water pump 23 continues for a given period.

  • Patent number: 7946388
Abstract: An oil temperature sensor is externally mounted on a side plate of an oil pan cover that constitutes an external cover for an oil pan apparatus. The oil temperature sensor can output a signal in accordance with the oil temperature prevailing near a thermostat valve apparatus in a second chamber. If the second chamber oil temperature rises immediately after startup of an engine, a CPU judges that an open valve failure has occurred, that is, the thermostat valve apparatus is stuck open. If the oil temperature of the second chamber is not raised when an adequate amount of time has elapsed after the end of a warm-up operation, the CPU judges that a closed valve failure has occurred, that is, the thermostat valve apparatus is stuck closed.

  • Patent number: 7812886
Abstract: In synchronization of a conventional AV system, when a stream as the master stops, a system clock cannot be corrected for synchronization. Since the correction is consistently performed even when an error is small, overhead of correction is large. On the other hand, when an error is large, sharp correction causes a feeling that something wrong. In the present invention, when the stream as the master stops, previously registering the degree of priority regarding the master, consideration of a corrected period or a previous error for the system clock, or transmitting a stream containing information regarding the master can allow for other process to serves as the master. Accordingly, it is possible to provide a method for synchronization with maintaining correction of the system clock. When a corrected error is large, gradual correction or reference can provide a system with normal feeling.

  • Publication number: 20100195453
Abstract: Disclosed is an optical disc device that is able to increase accuracy in reproducing information from an optical disc. The optical disc device 10 calculates a focus error signal SFE2 and a sum signal SS1 while reciprocating an objective lens 21 in a focus direction until a distance between a focal point FS and a focal point FM1 becomes close to the depth d of a target position PG at the time of a pull-in operation, and when a trigger signal ST1 generated on the basis of the sum signal SS1 is at low level, starts focus control on the basis of the focus error signal SFE2. Therefore, focus control can start in a state where the focus error signal SFE2 curves in an S shape with sufficient amplitude.

  • Patent number: 7763139
Abstract: A method of selectively transferring devices arrayed on a first substrate to a second substrate on which an adhesive resin layer is previously formed is provided. The method includes steps of selectively heating the adhesive resin layer on the second substrate by laser irradiation from the back surface side of the second substrate, and curing the selectively heated portions of the adhesive resin layer, thereby adhesively bonding those to be transferred of the devices to the second substrate. At this time, portions, corresponding to the devices, of the adhesive layer are heated directly or indirectly via the devices or wiring portions by laser irradiation from the back surface side of the substrate. The heated portions of the adhesive resin layer selectively exhibit the adhesive forces. The heated portions of the adhesive layer are then cured, so that only the devices to be transferred are selectively transferred to the second substrate.
