  • Patent number: 6818538
Abstract: A ball grid array semiconductor packaging technology is provided, which is characterized in that openings of a solder mask are formed on a given edge of a die attachment area, and entire or partial width of each opening is disposed outside the die attachment area. Accordingly, air within the opening of the solder mask is sufficiently eliminated during die bonding process, so as to prevent void formation as adhesive is filled into the opening. Therefore, in the follow-up steps, high temperature in reflowing process will not cause popcorn as in the prior-art, so as to remain good quality of the semiconductor package.

  • Publication number: 20040109813
Abstract: An art is provided to realize a current emitting device capable of emitting current of higher density under the same or lower onset emission voltage. The current emitting device is preferably an array of carbon nanotubes or a film including carbon nanotubes. The art is based on oxidizing a current emitting device composed of material including carbon, until the current emitting device has at least part thereof changed in shape. The current emitting device thus processed works better with a display, or becomes capable of emitting current of higher density under the same or lower onset emission voltage. As far as experiments showed, the emitted current density achieved by the art can be eight times the amount emitted by an array of nanotubes having not been processed according to the art, and the onset emission voltage can be lowered by the art from 0.8 V/&mgr;m to 0.5 V/&mgr;m.

  • Publication number: 20030187988
Abstract: The Web customer contact system is based on distributed execution of service logic programs that can be dynamically altered based on changing business needs. The distributed and dynamic program modification makes the Web customer contact system scalable and customization to the most demanding business operation needs. For example, existing workflow based GUI programming tool, which only support centralized specification, down load and execution of routing rules for incoming calls in a contact center. The new system WCC system can allow user to specify a set of service logic program (SLP) can be dynamically attached to any distributed “addressable entities” in the WCC system. The addressable entities can be a user, an agent, an email box, a work group, IVR system, or a department web site. The addressable entities can be located anywhere that can be reached by internet address (an URL or other types of identities).

  • Patent number: 6623662
Abstract: A two-layer coating for the outer surface of the display screen of a color cathode ray tube (CRT) includes an inner carbon black-based layer and an outer silica-based layer. The inner layer is antistatic, while the outer layer is antireflective. To compensate for the increased absorption of blue light by the carbon black particles, which results in a color video image having a yellowish tint, a blue additive, such as a pigment or dye, is added to the coating to adjust its light absorbance characteristics and provide uniform light absorbance over the entire visible spectrum of 400-700 nm for improved color video image presentation.

  • Patent number: 6624564
Abstract: For use in a color cathode ray tube (CRT) having a display screen with a flat outer surface and a curved inner surface, a 2-layer antistatic and antireflective coating for the display screen's flat outer surface compensates for the variation in screen thickness to provide uniform light transmission through the screen and coating combination, a high degree of video image contrast, effective electrostatic shielding and discharge, and reduced light reflectivity. The coating includes a first inner electrically conductive layer disposed on the CRT display screen's flat outer surface containing carbon black particles for a high level of video image contrast and improved electrical conductivity for electrostatic shielding and discharge. The extent of light transmission through the inner conductive layer may be adjusted in accordance with the display screen's thickness by varying the amount of carbon black particles in the coating solution.

  • Patent number: 6521346
Abstract: A two-layer coating for the outer surface of a glass display screen of a video display device such as a cathode ray tube (CRT) includes an inner antistatic layer and an outer antireflective layer. The outer antireflective layer contains silica and has a refractive index in the range of 1.4-1.5. The inner layer contains carbon black powder particles which provide high electrical conductivity to dissipate electrostatic charge on the glass display screen. The inner layer further includes a surface activation agent, such as glycol, for dispersing the carbon black particles in the antistatic solution. To increase the refractive index of the inner layer to a value greater than its typical value, which is in the range of 1.5-2.0, for the purpose of reducing light reflection from the glass display screen while maintaining high conductivity, ZrO2, ZnO, ZnS or TiO2, or a combination thereof, is added to the inner antistatic layer to provide a stable solution with optically and electrically desirable characteristics.

Abstract: An improved photoreceptor is disclosed which contains a multi-layered charge generation layer formed on a substrate and a charge transport layer formed on the multi-layered charge generation layer. The multi-layered charge generation member is formed by sequentially forming a plurality of charge generation sub-layers first on the substrate then on the charge generation sub-layer that was already formed, so as to create at least one interface between the charge generation layers. The charge generation materials in the plurality of charge generation layers must satisfy the following relationship:(IP).sub.CGL1 .gtoreq.(IP).sub.CGL2 .gtoreq.(IP).sub.CGL3 . . . .gtoreq.(IP).sub.CGLnwherein: (IP).sub.CGLi, i=1, 2, . . . , n, represents an ionization potential of the charge generation material in charge generation layer i; and (b) a lower value of i indicating closer proximity to the substrate, and a greater value i indicates further away from the substrate.

  • Patent number: 5960178
Abstract: A queuing system and method to provide efficient and effective message communication between computers, processing devices, or network elements. The queue includes three tables. A message data table includes the message data. A message state table identifies several parameters about a message including a message time-stamp, state, and partition. The partition associates the message with a predetermined one of several message processors used to send and receive messages. Each message processor selects and sends only messages having a corresponding partition. The queue further includes a queued message table that lists all messages destined for a computer or other processing device that cannot receive messages. In this manner, failed messages in the queued table are taken out of a processing queue until the off-line computer or other processing device comes back on line.
