  • Publication number: 20230309116
Abstract: Cross scheduling of a component earner for vehicle sidelink communications may be achieved by explicit configuration, implicit configuration, or a combination thereof. A user equipment, UE, may be configured with a resource pool configuration, for example, pertaining to multiple resource pools, resource group partitions, and/or component carrier groups. The UE may be configured to use fields such as a Carrier Indication Field and/or a Carrier Group Indication Field contained in a Physical Sidelink Control Channel, PSCCH. The UE may use the resource pool configuration in combination with where the UE is able to decode the PSCCH, with or with the CIF and/or CGIF, to determine a scheduled Component Carrier, CC, for sidelink communications.

  • Patent number: 11689275
Abstract: A WTRU may include a memory and a processor. The processor may be configured to receive beam grouping information from a gNB or transmission and reception point (TRP). The beam grouping information may indicate a group of beams that the WTRU may report using group-based reporting. The group-based reporting may be a reduced level of reporting compared to a beam-based reporting. The group-based report may include measurement information for a representative beam. The representative beam may be one of the beams in the group or represents an average of the beams in the group. Alternatively, the representative beam may be a beam that has a maximum measurement value compared to other beams in the group. The group-based report may include a reference signal received power (RSRP) for the representative beam and a differential RSRP for each additional beam in the beam group.

  • Publication number: 20230188261
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are described herein for reduced capability New Radio (NR) devices. A reduced capability NR device may receive, from a base station, a reference signal (RS) or broadcast system information. The reduced capability NR device may determine, based on the received RS or the received broadcast system information, a coverage enhancement for the wireless communications device and may determine a repetition configuration. The reduced capability NR device may select, based on the coverage enhancement and repetition configuration, a plurality of random access channel occasions (ROs) for a plurality of physical random access channel (PRACH) repetitions. The reduced capability NR device may send, based on one or more ROs of the selected plurality of ROs, one or more PRACH repetitions of the plurality of PRACH repetitions to cause the base station to identify the coverage enhancement and a type associated with the wireless communications device.

  • Publication number: 20230171738
Abstract: The exchange of resource allocation assistance information between a requester User Equipment (UE) and an assistant UE allows the requester to make better resource allocation decisions. The assistance information may include a blacklist, a whitelist, resource allocation information, a candidate resource set, and measurement information, for example. Both UEs may have an assistance configuration to assist in the exchange of resource allocation assistance information, that may be obtained from a third apparatus, such as a base station. The configuration may include information related to when to trigger assistance, identities of UEs, and types of assistance information, for example. The requester may, based on the assistance information received, modify a candidate resource set at a Medium Access Control (MAC) layer. The requester may, at the MAC layer, determine a configured sidelink grant for a selected destination using assistance information targeting this destination.

  • Publication number: 20230171795
Abstract: A wireless User Equipment (UE) may indicate to a base station (gNB) that the UE is capable of simultaneously using sidelink resource allocations Mode 1, with scheduling by the gNB, and sidelink resource allocation Mode 2 with scheduling by the UE, and then receive from the gNB, a Medium Access Control (MAC) entity configuration comprising information for Mode 1 and for Mode 2, and Sidelink Radio Bearer (SERB) configurations which may include the mode (Mode 1 or Mode 2) for the SERB. The UE may determine grants for both modes. In case of a grant collision or overlap, the UE may use logical channel priority to select one grant over the other. • Publication number: 20230140213
Abstract: Blind coverage for wireless devices is enhanced varying one or more transmission characteristics of a repeated transmission sent or received by apparatuses, where the repeated transmission includes, for example a Physical Downlink Shared CHannel (PDSCH) and/or a Physical Uplink Shared CHannel (PUSCH) transmissions. Varied characteristics may include a start time for each repetition, a duration for each repetition, a start frequency for each repetition, a bandwidth of each repetition, a number of repetitions for each subframe, and/or a number of repetitions for each slot. Repetitions may be within a Bandwidth Part (BWP) or span multiple BWPs. Repetitions may vary from one to another in start time, start frequency, duration, bandwidth, and slot and subframe patterns. Higher level signalling, such as Radio Resource Control (RRC) signalling may be used to control the inclusion or omission of a DeModulation Reference Signal (DMRS) in repeated transmissions.

  • Publication number: 20230007624
Abstract: A radio apparatus communicating with a first and a second network, and having a first connection to the first network, may receive a page from the second network and determine to form a second connection with the second network, and notify the first network of the selection. The first network may then notify the apparatus to release or suspend the first connection. The apparatus may send release and/or suspension preferences to the first network, such as a preference to be treated in an idle or inactive mode, paging preferences, and a preferred identifier of the apparatus. The apparatus may then form the second connection, and monitor for paging from the first network, e.g., during a given paging occasion and paging frame.
