  • Patent number: 6813723
Abstract: Method of compensating for a delay between clock signals for a semiconductor integrated circuit having a plurality of devices synchronous to a plurality of clock signals, including the steps of (1) searching for devices between which a data transmission path is set up synchronous to different clock signals among the plurality of devices, and (2) adding a plurality of delays only to between the devices having the data transmission path set up therebetween for compensating for the delay coming from a difference of clock signals, whereby solving non-uniformity of clock signals by using a small number of delays.

  • Patent number: 6807229
Abstract: A decision feedback equalizer and a method for updating tap coefficients of the decision feedback equalizer are provided. The decision feedback equalizer (DFE) includes a first equalizer for reducing channel interference noise in an input signal, a second equalizer for generating a feedback signal for reducing remaining interference noise, and an update controller for controlling the first and the second equalizers so as to freeze the second equalizer when the first equalizer is updated and to freeze the first equalizer when the second equalizer is updated. The tap coefficients of the feedforward equalizer and the feedback equalizer are alternately initialized. It then becomes possible to stably converge the levels of respective tap coefficients without diverging them and to reduce the power used for updating the tap coefficients in a steady state.

  • Publication number: 20040056825
Abstract: An inverter of driving a light source for a display device is provided. The inverter includes a temperature sensor sensing a temperature and generating an output voltage based on the sensed temperature, a buffer generating an output signal having a state depending on the output voltage of the temperature sensor, an oscillator generating an oscillating signal having a frequency depending on the state of the output signal of the buffer, and an inverter performing a switching operation in response to the oscillating signal from the oscillator. Therefore, the inverter increases the voltage applied to the light source when the temperature near the light source is lower than a predetermined temperature since the frequency of the oscillating signal is increased.

  • Patent number: 6654430
Abstract: A digital subscriber line receiving apparatus having resilience to HAM radio interference noise and a method therefore includes an automatic gain controller for amplifying a received signal level to a signal level having a predetermined magnitude, a timing recoverer for recovering timing from a signal output from the automatic gain controller, an equalizer for removing interference noise from a signal received from the timing recoverer, a slicer for detecting a digital value from a signal received from the equalizer, an initialization controller for resetting the receiving apparatus and initializing the automatic gain controller, the timing recoverer, and the equalizer when the signal to noise ratio of the output signal of the equalizer is smaller than a reference signal to noise ratio, and an update controller for preventing automatic gain controller and equalizer from being initialized by the initialization controller when HAM radio interference noise is detected in the received signal.

  • Publication number: 20020101920
Abstract: An automatic test data generating apparatus for automatically generating test data based on the input items of a user in order to test a digital TV application software environment (DASE) system and a method therefor. The automatic test data generating apparatus includes a database for storing at least information on raw data and the MPEG transport stream standard and a test data generator for generating test data corresponding to the input items of the user based on the input items of the user and information on the raw data and the MPEG transport stream standard. Accordingly, the time and expenses spent on generating test data for testing the DASE system are reduced and those who do not have special knowledge can generate the test data.

  • Patent number: 6416978
Abstract: This invention relates to a process for producing exopolysaccharide from submerged mycelial culture of mushroom and more particularly, to the process for improving the exopolysaccharide production from the mycelia using the different bistage pH control technique comprising the steps of; (1) a process for the production of mycelia whose pH conditions in a batch medium are kept constant at 2 to 6 at the initial pH, while adding ammonium ion to the medium, and (2) a process for the production of exopolysaccharides whose pH conditions in a batch medium containing the mycelia are adjusted to 3 to 7. According to this invention, the optimized mycelial morphology and rheological properties in the culture media can lead to EPS production in more efficient and stable manner.
