Abstract: There is provided an apparatus for detecting a preamble packet in an orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) system, including: a cross-correlation calculating means for calculating a cross-correlation value between a received signal and previously stored preamble pattern values for an OFDM symbol region (N-point); a delay means for delaying the calculate cross-correlation value as much as a M-point interval; a receiving power measuring means for measuring a receiving power for the guard interval; and a dividing means for calculating a final cross-correlation value by dividing the delayed cross correlation value by the measured power.

Abstract: The present invention is related to a technology for grasping the number of a plurality of terminals of a client using a Cookie in a private network in which plural terminals are shared by redirecting a session which is to be connected to a Web by analyzing a TCP/IP packet, detecting the accurate number of a plurality of terminals of a client using an Internet, and making the accurate number as a DB, and selectively permitting or blocking a connection to Internet according to TCP/IP by using the Cookie pool information of a DB type and JOB when the users configuring and using a private network connect to the Internet at the same time.

Abstract: The present invention provides a power supply for a server including: a PFC (Power Factor Correction) unit for meeting harmonic regulation by being connected to an input power source; a DC/DC unit including a switching stage provided with at least one switching device to switch a voltage of a link capacitor as an output voltage of the PFC unit to a predetermined operation frequency and a DC/DC stage driven by the switching stage; a DC/DC control unit for controlling the DC/DC unit by being connected to the switching device; and a frequency varying circuit unit for supplying the DC/DC control unit with a frequency control signal to adjust the operation frequency of the switching device according to load after detecting an output current of the link capacitor and acquiring load information.

Abstract: A liquid crystal display with an improved viewing angle and brightness is provided. The liquid crystal display includes a light source unit and a polarized light guide plate having an incident surface onto which unpolarized light from the light source unit is incident. The polarized light guide plate polarizes, collimates, and out-couples the incident light. The liquid crystal display also includes a liquid crystal panel which modulates the light out-coupled and illuminated from the polarized light guide plate to form images, and a diffusion layer which diffuses the light modulated in the liquid crystal panel.

Abstract: In one embodiment, the present invention includes an apparatus having a conductive storage medium to store information in the form of electrostatic charge. The conductive storage medium can be disposed in a non-conductive layer that is formed over a charge blocking layer, which in turn may be disposed over an electrode layer. In one embodiment, a barrier layer may be disposed over the non-conductive layer. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

Abstract: Methods and devices are disclosed, such as those involving memory cell devices with improved charge retention characteristics. In one or more embodiments, a memory cell is provided having an active area defined by sidewalls of neighboring trenches. A layer of dielectric material is blanket deposited over the memory cell, and etched to form spacers on sidewalls of the active area. Dielectric material is formed over the active area, a charge trapping structure is formed over the dielectric material over the active area, and a control gate is formed over the charge trapping structure. In some embodiments, the charge trapping structure includes nanodots. In some embodiments, the width of the spacers is between about 130% and about 170% of the thickness of the dielectric material separating the charge trapping material and an upper surface of the active area.

Abstract: Disclosed are an optical sheet and a LCD apparatus having the same. The optical sheet receives a light emitted from a light guiding plate which is disposed under the optical sheet and emits the light substantially perpendicular to a liquid crystal panel. The optical sheet comprises a first prism pattern made of a material having a first refractive index and a second prism pattern made of a material having a second refractive index which is larger than the first refractive index. The viewing angle of the LCD apparatus having the optical sheet is extended and the brightness thereof is enhanced while a gray scale inversion is reduced.

Abstract: Provided is a synchronization error tracking device and method. The method and system estimates and corrects the synchronization error generated by time and frequency offsets during the data transmission interval and uses a module designed for initial synchronization or channel estimation without adding a new correlation operator. Further, a combining mark value and a synchronization position value acquired during the synchronization process are used.

Abstract: Provided is a method for adjusting Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) window positioning in a Multi Band Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing Ultra-Wideband (MB-OFDM UWB) system. The method includes the steps of acquiring an initial FFT window position and a frequency hopping position, demodulating a received signal by using the initial FFT window position and the frequency hopping position acquired in the acquiring step, transmitting received data information to a Media Access Control (MAC) layer with a reception frame (RX frame) structure and judging at the MAC layer whether or not a packet error is occurred based on Frame Check Sequences (FCSs), and if no packet error is occurred, returning to the demodulating step, and if the packet error is occurred, changing a register map by using a predetermined interface line in a MAC-physical layer (MAC-PHY) interface to thereby adjust the FFT window position and the frequency hopping position, and then returning to the demodulating step.
