Abstract: The present invention relates to a technology for implementing a bidirectional DC/DC converter in an ESS (Energy Storage System). According to the present invention, a two-phase interleaving technique and a ZVS (Zero Voltage Switching) cell are used to implement a high-efficiency bidirectional DC/DC converter, high-efficiency energy conversion can be performed through a plurality of voltage transformation processes, ripple can be reduced to stably exchange energy, the interleaving technique is used to reduce input current ripple and output voltage ripple, and conduction loss can be reduced under a relatively high load.

Abstract: An ear bud set comprises: a body part; a leg part foldably connected to the body part; and an elastic body connected to the body part and a foldable portion of the leg part. The earbud set is stably provided in the ears when being used for the hearing aid or the earphone, the Bluetooth and the like, and thus is not easily separated from the ears despite vigorous motion, and since earholes are ventilated and external sound can be heard after being worn in the ears, sound transmission efficiency capable of preventing a safety accident is effective. The earbud set can be stably worn in the ears irrespective of the different shapes and sizes of ears of people, does not cause earaches by dispersing the force applied to the ears, and can be stably provided to the ears with low pressure.

Abstract: A lithium titanium oxide (LTO)/carbon composite, a preparation method for the LTO/carbon composite, a negative electrode material using the LTO/carbon composite, and a hybrid super capacitor using the negative electrode material are disclosed. The lithium titanium oxide (LTO)/carbon composite is formed to insert a carbon-based additive into a plurality of voids formed on the LTO granules, thereby improving the electrical conductivity.

Abstract: This application discloses a method of photomechanically manipulating optically fixable SMPs that employ glassy, photoresponsive polymeric materials, which are capable of rapid optical-fixing with short exposures (<<5 min) of eye-safe visible light. Key to the optical fixing is the use of polymeric materials composed of covalently attached photochromic units such as azobenzene and the use of light capable of inducing simultaneous trans-cis and cis-trans isomerization of azobenzene or other photochromic moieties capable of similar cycling. Upon exposure to light in this wavelength regime (440-514 nm for the azobenzene unit here), real and lasting reconfigurations are induced capable of fixing both the optically induced strain as well as mechanically induced strain. A linear dependence of bending angle on polarization angle is observed and may be used to control the shape reconfiguration of the SMPs.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a hydrolysate of a mixture of lignocellulosic biomass and seaweed biomass. By mixing seaweed biomass with lignocellulosic biomass and then preparing a hydrolysate, lignocellulosic biomass-derived acetic acid is consumed together with seaweed biomass-derived mannitol. As a result, high sugar productivity can be maintained while reducing fermentation inhibitors. Because the present disclosure can solve the problem of lignocellulosic biomass of decreased fermentation efficiency due to lignocellulose-derived fermentation inhibitors and the problem of seaweed biomass of very low productivity in spite of long fermentation time, the hydrolysate according to the present disclosure may be used to produce biofuels and biochemicals economically.

The method may include calculating balancing charge for all battery cells of which the charges are not equal, selecting the strongest battery cell storing the highest charge and the weakest battery cell corresponding to the strongest battery cell, among the entire battery cells, and performing a series of balancing operations.

The assist apparatus includes an image acquisition unit including a sensor unit, a gravity sensor, at least one retractable and extendable protrusion, a motor drive, and a processor. The sensor unit acquires a depth image including a distance value for an obstacle in front of the person. The gravity sensor detects an inclined angle of the image acquisition unit in relation to a ground surface upon which the person is walking. The motor drive drives a motor to cause the at least one protrusion to extend or retract. The processor generates 3-Dimensional (3D) data using the detected inclined angle and the acquired depth image, converts the distance value into a height value, and controls the motor drive to cause the at least one protrusion to extend or retract to the height value.
