    Abstract: A vertically stabilized shelf bracket assembly having at least two support strips on which at least one cabinet and preferably one or more shelves are mounted. The shelving is stabilized in several ways. First, the brackets are provided with a shelf engaging recess. Second, the brackets are provided with a vertical member which engages the shelves. Preferably, the recess and the vertical member will engage the shelf at opposite ends of the shelf, securing the shelf to the bracket. The shelves can be further stabilized by securing the brackets against vertical displacement. This can be accomplished by securing the shelf brackets to the support strip with a locking pin. With the locking pin in place, the shelf bracket cannot be moved upward.

The petrophysical parameter may include, for instance, the permeability of the subsurface formation and the drilling parameter may include, for instance, a change in the orientation of a directional drilling assembly or the point at which to stop drilling. The invention further involves an apparatus adapted to carry out the inventive method.

The method comprises the step of orally administering an effective amount of a peracid to an animal. Percarboxylic acids useful in this invention include peracetic acid, perpropionic acid, perbutyric acid, peroctanoic acid, perglycolic acid, perglutaric acid, persuccinic acid, perlactic acid, percitric acid, perdecanoic acid or mixtures thereof. These percarboxylic acids have been found to provide good antimicrobial action with good stability in aqueous streams. In addition to peracetic, peroctanoic and perdecanoic, particularly preferred percarboxylic acids include perpropionic, perbutyric, perglycolic, perlactic and percitric acids.

A remote database server periodically collects data from several on-site systems for a plurality of gas turbines, and this data is analyzed using criteria that precisely define certain gas turbine operational events in terms that can be automatically applied to operational data collected from the gas turbines.

    Abstract: The invention is a process for preventing microbial growth in the digestive tract of living vertebrate animals, particularly food animals. Control of microbial growth is achieved by the step of applying a percarboxylic acid or a mixture of percarboxylic acids to an aqueous stream which is subsequently consumed orally by the animal. The formulation can also be mixed into food items or into particulate or similar materials, or packaged in ingestible capsules, whereby the active ingredient enters the body of the animal through the oral cavity through feeding behavior, or food scavenging, or particulate scavenging activities of the animal. Formulations may also be sprayed onto the outside of the animal and taken orally.

This method avoids the need for obtaining an aluminum concentration measurement. First, the concentrations of a plurality of elements in the formation are determined without measuring an aluminum concentration. Then, at least the silicon, calcium, and iron concentrations are combined in accordance with a function determined by regression analysis to produce an estimate of the total clay content.

    Abstract: A method for determining the elemental concentrations in an underground formation by irradiating the formation with neutrons, detecting the .gamma. ray spectrum arising from neutron capture by the formation and analyzing the spectrum to determine elemental concentrations. This method avoids the need for activation measurements or natural radiation measurements and which is made possible by modifying the detected yield of iron (Fe) in the spectrum to compensate for the absence of aluminum (Al) and for the absence of potassium (K) when not measured directly. Apparatus for performing this method can comprise a neutron source, such as a broad energy chemical source, e.g. AmBe, or a pulsed accelerator source, a .gamma. ray detector for detecting capture .gamma. rays and means for analyzing the spectra detected by the detector for determining the elemental concentrations in the formation.

    Abstract: An offset hinge flapper valve has a single valve plate rotatably mounted in the flow channel of a cast housing. The valve plate is freely rotatable about a pivot pin welded to the housing. The valve plate has first and second co-planar parts extending on respective sides of its axis of rotation, which is offset from the center axis of the flow channel. These co-planar parts have peripheral edges configured so that the valve plate has the same shape as the shape of the flow channel taken along an oblique section of the cast housing. A brace having an abutment surface is mounted on the valve plate. When the valve plate rotates to a predetermined inclined angle relative to the flow, the brace contacts the housing, thereby blocking further rotation and preventing flutter or instability of the valve plate in the open position.

    Abstract: An illuminated electrical push button switch has a pair of spring contacts secured in a plug-like body on either side of a miniature bulb. A flat top, metallic cup-shape, push button overlies the contacts, insulated therefrom by a sheet of electrical insulating material. The push button has a plurality of circumferentially spaced radially projecting fingers. A cylindrical shell with a radially inwardly directed flange fits over the plug-like body with a snug fit with the flange overlying the fingers of the push button to secure the push button to the body. A plurality of circumferentially spaced notches in the flange of the shell provide openings through which light emanating from the lamp can escape. The entire assembly has a low profile and is mounted by means of an adhesive. The assembly can be mounted directly on the building structure or it can be mounted with a decorative plate or the like interposed between the building and push button assembly.
