  • Publication number: 20210118232
Abstract: Techniques for translating air writing to augmented reality (AR) devices are described. In one embodiment, a method includes receiving indications of gestures from an originator. The indications identify movement in three dimensions that correspond to an emphasis conferred on one or more words that are air-written by the originator and are configured to be displayed by a plurality of AR devices. The method includes analyzing the identified movement to determine a gesture type associated with the emphasis, where the gesture type includes a first emphasis to be conferred on the air-written words. The method includes providing a display of the air-written words on a first AR device of the plurality of AR devices. The first emphasis is conferred on the words on the display of the first AR device using a first gesture display style based on a profile of a first user utilizing the first AR device.

  • Patent number: 10982310
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a thermal spray alloy system that is more resistant to corrosion than conventional alloy compositions. The disclosed alloy comprises copper as the main component and also potentially nickel, tin, boron, and/or carbon as other principle elements. The alloy composition may utilize a cored wire, and an outer sheath of the cored wire may comprise unalloyed copper. The alloy has superior corrosion resistance to a wide number of corrosive materials, such as hydrogen sulfide, carbon dioxide/carbonic acid, sodium chloride/potassium chloride (salts), bio-fouling, and micro-biologicals. The alloy demonstrates superior thermal conductivity compared to nickel based alloys and stainless steels. The alloy may form an anti-corrosive coating that may be applied to any number of substrates. The disclosed alloy may be applied to a substrate in thick layers, such as between 0.100 inches and 3.0 inches, and may be used to form shapes, such as centralizers.

  • Publication number: 20210048938
Abstract: An approach is provided in which the approach the approach deconstructs a user interface into user interface elements that each are assigned an importance score. The approach compares a user eye gaze pattern of a user viewing the user interface against an expected eye gaze pattern corresponding to the user interface, and determines that the user requires assistance navigating the user interface. The approach selects one of the user interface elements based on its importance score, generates an augmented reality overlay of the selected user interface element, and displays the augmented reality overlay on the user interface using an augmented reality device.

  • Publication number: 20210018636
Abstract: A method for deployment of a geophysical sensor includes moving a ram having a ground penetrating bit at a movable end thereof to a selected geodetic position. The ram and the ground penetrating bit are extended to create a hole in a ground surface while measuring extension of the ram. The ram is retracted, and if the measured extension of the ram indicates successful creation of the hole, then the geophysical sensor is moved to a position beneath the ram and the ram is extended to urge the geophysical sensor into the hole.

  • Patent number: 10860524
Abstract: A multiprocessor computer system comprises a first node operable to access memory local to a remote node by receiving a virtual memory address from a requesting entity in node logic in the first node. The first node creates a network address from the virtual address received in the node logic, where the network address is in a larger address space than the virtual memory address, and sends a fast memory access request from the first node to a network node identified in the network address.

  • Publication number: 20200380402
Abstract: In an approach for a conversational search in a content management system, a processor trains a deep learning model to learn semantic analysis of a plurality of user queries to identify intents and entities in the user queries. A processor analyzes the content management system to extract content keywords to generate a domain ontology. A processor augments the domain ontology based on the identified intents and entities in the user queries by the deep learning model. A processor tags the content keywords with metadata based on the domain ontology. A processor maps the intents and entities extracted from a current user query of a user to the content keywords extracted from the content management system to form a metadata keyword. A processor searches the content management system for a content based on the metadata keyword. A processor returns a search result for the current user query.

  • Patent number: 10816056
Abstract: A vibration isolation device includes flexures and a multi-part mounting interface for coupling a frame that supports equipment to a structure. The flexures may include three pairs of flexures that allow movement in three orthogonal directions, to allow compliance and/or damp vibrations in the three directions. The flexures may surround the multi-part mounting interface, the parts of which are configured to move relative to one another. One of the parts of the mounting interfaces passes through another part of the mounting interface, such as in one or more holes in one of the interfaces. The device allows equipment mounted on the frame to be isolated from some or all of vibrations produced at the structure. In an example embodiment the vibration isolation system is used in mounting an optical sensor or device to an aircraft.

  • Publication number: 20200305591
Abstract: A paint brush having a handle with an integrated hanger that is pivotably movable between a retracted position for stowing the hanger within a groove of the handle, and an extended position for extending the hanger outwardly from the groove to hang the paint brush on an object. When stowed in the retracted position the hanger may be flush with an outer surface of the handle to enhance the ergonomic design. The hanger and groove may be configured to enable ease of deployment of the hanger from the retracted to extended position simply with a one-handed operation. The portion of the handle having the groove may be made of a flexible material which may better secure the hanger in the groove when stowed and/or may facilitate installation of the hanger. The handle may include a grip portion having the flexible material which is over-molded onto a rigid head portion.
