  • Publication number: 20030134717
Abstract: The present invention relates to a front cover plate for an electric treadmill which includes an upright frame, a base frame, a front supporting leg and a rear supporting leg. A console is mounted on the upright frame, and a handrail is fitted to either side thereof. A continuous belt extends longitudinally around base frame. In addition, a bottom cover plate is pivotably connected to connecting rods at both sides of the front end of the treadmill by means of a first screw set. Besides, a front cover plate is pivotably connected to the front end of the base frame by means of a second screw set. The front cover plate is covered by the bottom cover plate. Accordingly, the transmission system of motor at the bottom of the base frame can be hidden by both cover plates. Meanwhile, foreign objects can be prevented from entering into the front end of the treadmill. Therefore, the transmission system of motor can be protected from damage. Additionally, the whole appearance can be beautified.

  • Patent number: 6569062
Abstract: The present invention relates to a lever type exercise apparatus comprises a base and a treadmill. The treadmill includes a platform and a continuous belt. The continuous belt extends around the platform and is rotatably supported by front and rear rollers being driven by a motor. Besides, a supporting arm is provided between the front and rear rollers of the treadmill. The bottom end thereof is pivotably connected at a first pivoting point of the base while the top end thereof is pivotably supported by a resilient cylinder which is pivotably secured to the base at a second pivoting point. After the assembly of the aforementioned components, when the front end of the treadmill is moved downward against the resistance of the resilient cylinder, the coupled supporting arm is pivoted at the first pivoting point. Thus, the top end of the supporting arm is pressed against the resilient cylinder.

  • Publication number: 20030060335
Abstract: The present invention relates to an oval track exerciser. Two cranks are pivotably connected a cross rod between two upright supports on a base. A rail is pivotably connected to the bottom end of the respective cranks while a tread connecting rod is pivotably connected to the top end of the respective cranks. Besides, Each of the tread connecting rods is pivotably connected to a movable tread. Meanwhile, the movable treads are slidably mounted on the rail. A locating frame is disposed at the front end of the base, and a resistance device is mounted on the locating frame. Thus, a proper exercise resistance is created by means that two pull ropes are connected to the respective cranks. In addition, a driving device is installed under the base, and a transmission spindle thereof drives a moving connecting rod for a forward and backward movement so that the height of both rails can be raised or lowered to change the exercising slope.

  • Patent number: 6533707
Abstract: The present invention relates to a folding mechanism for an exercise treadmill having a U-shaped handrail, each end of the U-shaped handrail is pivotably connected to a vertical part of the supporting arm by a second pivot. A connection rod extends downwards from either side of the U-shaped handrail, and is pivotally connected to a pull rod by a third pivot. An end of each of the pull rods is pivotably secured to the corresponding position of the frame by a fourth pivot. Accordingly, when the U-shaped handrail is raised and turned on the second pivot, the connection rod will also be moved to bring the pull rod to shift upwards. Thereafter, the frame is turned on the first pivot to be raised to the top for completing the folding step of the frame.

  • Publication number: 20020193207
Abstract: The present invention relates to a work-indicating unit of a magnetic control exercise apparatus. A plurality of circuit board sets corresponding to magnetic resistance elements are positioned around a flywheel. Each circuit board has several sensing elements and light-emitting elements (e.g. monochromatic or polychrome LED). Each sensing element corresponds to a magnet set of the magnetic resistance elements in order to detect the resistance voltage value produced by the flywheel in unit time in cooperation with the magnetic resistance elements. Thereafter, the resistance voltage is used to actuate the light-emitting elements. Accordingly, the work of exercise in unit time is learned by means that the light-emitting elements light up or go out.

  • Patent number: 6475121
Abstract: The present invention relates to an elevating apparatus of an exercise treadmill. The elevating apparatus utilizes a servomotor to drive a transmission spindle into rotation by a gearbox, thereby driving a slide shaft to move to and fro between two base bars of the main frame. At least two lift shafts are pivotably connected to one end of the slide shafts while the other end thereof is pivotably connected to folding bars. Either folding bar is L-shaped and includes a first, a second and a third pivoting members. Moreover, the first pivoting member is pivotally mounted on the deck, the second pivoting member is pivotally mounted on the main frame and the third pivoting member is selectively pivotally attached to the deck by a latch. Accordingly, when the third pivoting member is separated from the deck, the elevating apparatus will perform an elevating action to be located at an inclined position.

  • Patent number: 6461275
Abstract: The present invention relates to an elevatingly folding unit of an electric exercise treadmill having a main frame, a deck frame, a belt-driving assembly and an elevatingly folding unit. The deck frame is interposed between two foot seats, including a deck and a continuous belt. And the belt-driving assembly is disposed at one end of the deck frame to drive the continuous belt for a cyclical rotation. In addition, the elevatingly folding unit is used for the deck frame to perform an elevating or a folding action. This folding unit makes use of a servomotor to drive the transmission spindle through a gearbox such that a slide shaft is movable forward and backward. The slide shaft is pivoted with two elevating rods while the other end thereof is pivotally mounted on a fixing shaft of the deck frame. When the slide shaft moves forward and backward, a relatively elevating action will be created at one end of the deck frame.

  • Publication number: 20020132707
Abstract: The present invention relates to a low-loaded exercise treadmill comprises a base and a frame. The frame includes a platform and a continuous belt which extends around the platform and is rotatably supported by front and rear rollers by mean of being driven by a motor. The rear end of the frame is fitted with a coupling piece which is pivotably connected to the base while the front end thereof includes a movable supporting bar which is attached to a resilient member at the bottom end thereof. Moreover, the resilient member is located at a proper position of the base. Based on the assembly of the aforementioned members, when the front end of the frame is pressed, the frame is downwardly inclined by means of the simultaneous displacement of the supporting bar. After the loading is reduced gradually, the frame restores itself by means of the extending force of the resilient member so that the frame can make ups and downs movement repetitively.
