  • Patent number: 6182985
Abstract: The present invention relates to a restoring device of a frame for a skateboard comprising a height-adjustable handgrip at the top of a front supporting bar which is attached with a main frame, a locating member being pivoted with the main frame so that, when the front supporting bar is moved by the handgrip to perform a right and left turning, the main frame will create a side-sloping action in order to achieve the wheel-turning effect. The improvement is characterized in that an axle sleeve and a soft packing ring are inserted into an axial through hole at the top of the locating member in order to hinge with a pivot of the main frame so that the main frame automatically restores itself by means of the soft packing ring after the side-sloping force disappears.

  • Patent number: 6171216
Abstract: An angle-adjusting device for a treadmill having a front supporting lever, a handgrip frame, a frame and a running belt. A locating plate is disposed on a bottom of a rear portion of the frame. A polygonal ground-contacting member is pivotally attached to the locating plates. Distances between the pivot attachment and the ground-contacting sides of the ground-contacting member are different. The sloping angle of the frame is dependent on the distance between the attachment pivot and a ground-contacting side and may be varied by pivoting the ground-contacting member.

  • Patent number: 6152860
Abstract: A motor for electric jogging device can be outer rotor type motor without brush, outer rotor type motor with brush, inner rotor type motor without brush or inner rotor type motor with brush. A borehole receives a penetrating shaft. In making use of the penetrating shaft, the motors can be fastened on either side of the front or the rear end of the opposite inner side of two side parts of jogging device frames, and one end of each inner (outer) rotor thereof respectively extends outwards to be a roller on which the jogging belt is able to move round in coordination with the other roller. Therefore, when the motor is supplied with power and the rotor is rotated, the roller of the rotor will bring the jogging belt in motion.

  • Patent number: 6090017
Abstract: A one-way travel computation detector device for an exerciser having at least three sensors provided with an operation route of any movable exerciser wherein the sensors are equally spaced from one another. The sensors send feedback signals which are different from one another to facilitate signal identification by a central processor. A permanent magnetic wave transmitter is provided on a mobile part and has a working area capable of covering the entire exercise path. One way travel of the mobile part can be accurately computed upon acquiring of a one-way signal sequence from each of the sensors. The central processor accepts only a predetermined signal sequence.

  • Patent number: 6068578
Abstract: This invention is relating to a buffer structure to be installed in between the framework of jogging machine and the floor surface. The jogging machine is comprised of one framework, one front floor-rod, one hand holder and one rear floor-rod, etc. components. Amid the components, framework has a jogging board installed on its end surface. And one jogging track is enclosed to surface of this jogging board on its up and down end. Thus this installation can enable user to stand on jogging track and start jogging exercise. The key point here is that there is a pulling board transversely pivoted to the top end of two bent chips incorporated to rear floor-rod. And one side of the pulling board has a pivot lug to pivot an adjustment screw rod. Then let this screw rod pass through the holes drilled on the front & rear partition boards and place a buffer pad in between front and rear partition boards. Finally use one screw rod socket and one knob to bolt screw rod together.

  • Patent number: 6053849
Abstract: The invention relates to improvement for the front pulley of a treadmill, wherein a positioning plate is disposed at each of both sides of the front end of a frame of a treadmill. A hole is located at the middle of the positioning plate, and a resilient body having hollow metal ring at its inner is sideways disposed in each hole. Shafts at both sides of the front pulley in cooperation are disposed in the inner holes of the metal rings of the resilient bodies. When the rear pulley at both side of the frame is integrated, while the running belt is assembled on the front and rear pulleys and is tightened, the front pulley keeps on a parallel with the rear pulley automatically because of the tightening effect of the running bell by the action of the two resilient bodies. Thus, the running belt continuously circulates around the front and rear pulleys smoothly, and instant idling between the front pulley and the running belt do not occur and increases the operation safety.

  • Patent number: 6050921
Abstract: This invention relates to a top weighted shock absorption structure for jogging machines. The principal element of the invention is the location of a curved linked component on each side of the jogging machine frame. A flexible shock absorption unit is located at the back end of the linked component shock absorption infrastructure where the shock absorption unit is set firmly against the upper face of the block pad located inside the base structure. The function of the flexible shock absorption units and block pads effectively reduce shock to the frame during machine use.

  • Patent number: 6042515
Abstract: This invention is relating to an improvement configured to a pushing caster of jogging machine. The body of jogging machine contains one master frame, one framework, one jogging board, one front transverse-rod, one hand holder, one rear floor-rod, etc. components. The transverse rod designed for master frame's base and front transverse-rod are fitted to the base of master frame where caster assemblies are plugged and retained at their both ends respectively. Diameter of caster is slightly bigger than diameter of rods. The inner sides of caster assembly, that is, the opposite direction that caster assembly face one another as they are installed at transverse-rod of master frame's base and front transverse-rod, is erected a positioning bushing to secure itself individually. Afterward, the outer circumference of each positioning bushing is enveloped by a floor-type rubber block which is in rectangular shape. This floor-type rubber block can be revolved around positioning bushing.

  • Patent number: 6033346
Abstract: The invention relates to an improved adjustment mechanism to the anchoring angle of the rear supporting beam in a treadmill. It has two positioning plates along the two sides near the bottom of a treadmill frame. That bottom surface near the outer edge is equipped with a stop piece. The rear supporting beam is then attached via the holes on the extended parts to the positioning plates. Two connecting pieces are used to mount a coupling over a through axle, placed between two corresponding holes on the two extensions from the rear supporting beam. The two connecting pieces are connected to a threaded bar and the other end of the threaded bar is put through a punched hole on the supporting beam. A turn knob is threaded over the bar exposed outside the supporting beam to complete the assembly. By turning the turn knob on the threaded beam, it could be used to shift the rear beam's anchoring angle can be adjusted to further achieve the fine-tuning of the slanting angle of a treadmill frame.

  • Patent number: 6019707
Abstract: A caster structure for treadmill runner which has a runner frame comprised of a master frame, a framework, a running board, a front transverse lever, a hand holder and a floor-type rear prop. The caster assemblies fit in both ends of the transverse lever horizontally installed at the base of master frame and the front transverse lever with a pipe plug by press fitting. A plurality of anchoring holes are drilled in the pipe plug facing outwardly to allow insertion of the axle of the caster assembly. Thus, when the caster assembly is anchored to a lower anchoring hole, the caster contacts the floor surface and enables the treadmill runner be moved. When the caster assembly is anchored in an upper anchoring hole, the caster will not touch the floor surface enabling the treadmill to steadily remain on the floor surface enabling the treadmill to steadily remain on the floor surface without any slippery occurrence.

  • Patent number: 6019706
Abstract: An improved mechanism to the electronic control panel of treadmills includes a main electronic control board which including a framework, a main control board, and a base plate. The main control board is assembled at a receiving slot in the center of the framework, while on one side of the receiving slot, an elongated groove is furnished, which is connected and fastened to the main control board so that it joins the opposite side of the main control board to form a gliding slot for the motor speed-control button. In the mean time, one side wall beneath the main control board near the gliding slot is equipped with an adjustable resistor that controls the motor operating cycle, and the adjustable resistor is made in a paralleled condition to the sliding slot, while the lever is extended towards outside. In such configuration, it serves to engage the shaft receptacle at the motor speed control button to complete the assembly.
