  • Publication number: 20180285118
Abstract: A processor core having multiple parallel instruction execution slices and coupled to multiple dispatch queues provides flexible and efficient use of internal resources. The configuration of the execution slices is selectable so that capabilities of the processor core can be adjusted according to execution requirements for the instruction streams. A plurality of load-store slices coupled to the execution slices provides access to a plurality of cache slices that partition the lowest level of cache memory among the load-store slices.

  • Patent number: 10083039
Abstract: A processor core having multiple parallel instruction execution slices and coupled to multiple dispatch queues by a dispatch routing network provides flexible and efficient use of internal resources. The configuration of the execution slices is selectable so that capabilities of the processor core can be adjusted according to execution requirements for the instruction streams. Two or more execution slices can be combined as super-slices to handle wider data, wider operands and/or vector operations, according to one or more mode control signal that also serves as a configuration control signal. The mode control signal is also used to partition clusters of the execution slices within the processor core according to whether single-threaded or multi-threaded operation is selected, and additionally according to a number of hardware threads that are active.

  • Publication number: 20180260728
Abstract: An individual having a plurality of first features and a second characteristic is identified. A plurality of second features associated with a second characteristic is determined. For each first feature among the plurality of first features, a respective probability distribution indicating, for each respective second feature, a probability that a person having the respective second feature has the first feature, is determined, thereby generating a plurality of probability distributions. A probabilistic classifier is used to combine the plurality of probability distributions, thereby generating a merged probability distribution. A Monte Carlo method is used to generate a prediction set based on the merged probability distribution, the prediction set including a plurality of prediction values for the second characteristic of the individual, each respective prediction value being associated with one of the plurality of second features. The prediction set is stored in a memory.

  • Patent number: 10038278
Abstract: An electrical connector includes a housing having an upper wall and a first protrusion and a CPA element slidably coupled to the housing along the upper wall between an extended position and an inserted position. The CPA element includes a base and a first beam extending from the base having a first arm and a first finger including an abutment wall configured to abut against the first protrusion and a tip configured to be engaged by a mating connector when received in the housing. The tip is deflected from a blocked position to a released position with the distal end engaging the protrusion in the blocked position and the tip being deflected outside of the protrusion to the released position where the tip is able to clear past the protrusion to allow the CPA element to be moved from the extended position to the inserted position. The CPA may be configured so that in the extended position it is to block release of a pivotal latch used to retain the connector to a mating connector.

  • Patent number: 9992025
Abstract: Software applications previously or currently being installed on a plurality of user devices are monitored. In one embodiment, a first set of the installed applications that is signed with a signing identifier of a developer are identified. A report is then sent to the developer that includes an identification of the first set. In another embodiment, the authenticity of a first application is evaluated including determining, based on a respective signing identifier for each of a plurality of applications, that the applications are similar to the first application. A notification is sent to the developer that identifies applications having a signing identifier that is different from the signing identifier of the developer.

  • Patent number: 9860263
Abstract: A server receives from a mobile communication device information about a data object (e.g., application) on the device when the device cannot assess the data object. The server uses the information along with other information stored at the server to assess the data object. Based on the assessment, the device may be permitted to access the data object or the device may not be permitted to access the data object. The other information stored at the server can include data objects known to be bad, data objects known to be good, or both.

  • Patent number: 9779253
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for sharing security risk information between collections of computing devices, such as mobile communications devices, to improve the functioning of devices associated with the collections. The methods and systems disclosed may share security risk information by identifying a security risk response by a first collection and then providing the security risk response to a second collection when a relationship database profile for the first collection indicates the security response may be shared with the second collection. Methods and systems are also provided for determining whether to allow a request from an originating device where the request may have been initiated by a remote device.
