  • Publication number: 20070027848
Abstract: When a user types in one or more characters from a restricted or ambiguous character set, such as numbers from a keypad, the characters in the restricted or ambiguous set are mapped to a larger set of characters, such as the alphabet. Then, the larger mapping set is used to search through keywords representing options available on a communications device, options available through the Internet, and possibly options available through paid placements. The set of options that are returned are then sorted based on past user behavior, on the context the device was in when the search was initiated, and optionally, on weightings given to selected keywords through paid placement.

  • Publication number: 20070027852
Abstract: When an input device, which may be a portable communications device, receives a keyword input from a user, an advertisement associated with the keyword, and stored on the device, is displayed. Then, a signal is transmitted to a remote site which indicates that the advertisement was displayed. In some embodiments, an advertiser pays a fee associated with the advertising being displayed, and may also pay a fee to place the advertisement on the device. A user has the option of turning off the advertisements, and/or of being paid a fee when the advertisements are displayed on his or her device. Specific advertisements may be displayed based on the physical location of the device.

  • Patent number: 7141962
Abstract: An EMI (Electrical Magnetic Interference) test system is provided. The system includes a testing table, a horizontal antenna, a vertical antenna and a processing unit. The testing table is used for supporting an Equipment Under Test (EUT). The horizontal antenna is positioned at a first location in an EMI chamber. The vertical antenna is positioned at a second location in the EMI chamber. The vertical antenna and the horizontal antenna are used for receiving the electromagnetic wave radiated from the EUT, and producing a vertical electric wave and a horizontal electric wave respectively. The processing unit is coupled to the vertical antenna and the horizontal antenna for transforming and analyzing the vertical electric wave and the horizontal electric wave.

  • Publication number: 20060216978
Abstract: An electrical connector, which is to be electrically connected to an electrical apparatus and capable of interrupting an ESD path, includes a body, a column and an insulation medium. The body has a through hole. The column passes through the through hole. The invention utilizes the insulation medium to encapsulate the column such that the insulation medium can contact the through hole to prevent the ESD path from passing through the through hole.

  • Publication number: 20060125457
Abstract: The present invention discloses a power conversion apparatus for pulse current suitable for electrical discharge machining. The power conversion apparatus comprises a linear power conversion circuit and a switching power conversion circuit. The linear power conversion circuit offers a fast response to changes in output load and is used to adjust the output voltage. The magnitude or the waveform of the current through the workpiece is adjusted by the power resistor or the power transistor. Then, the switching power conversion circuit supplies the workpiece a stable power to make the power conversion apparatus output a stable pulse current to achieve the goal of high power conversion efficiency, high power density, and small size.

  • Patent number: 6153273
Abstract: A bubble-producing ornament having a clear liquid container connected to a seat and a vertically extended tube and a downward extended path outside the tube being provided inside the container. The tube has a lower end always facing an upward opened conic area provided on a bottom of the container to gather a plurality of balls therein. An air nozzle is connected to the lowest central portion of the conic area so that compressed air can be supplied from an air pump to blow out via the air nozzle to produce bubbles and force the balls in the conic area to sequentially move upward along the tube. When the balls move out of the top of the tube, they roll along the path outside the tube to finally move back to the conic area again. The balls are then sent upward again by the compressed air in a circular manner. The moving balls together with the bubbles create a dynamic and changeful sight in the ornament.
