  • Patent number: 11287947
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to contextual input in a three-dimensional (3D) environment. In an example, a 3D environment is authored using an authoring application, wherein the author selects and positions one or more content items within the 3D environment. The 3D environment has a set of possible environment events that are associated with user input events. As a result, an environment event is generated when a user input event is received from an input device. An author uses the authoring application to associate an environment event with an action of the content item. A user is able to use a variety of input devices to interact with the 3D environment. When an input event is received from an input device, an environment event is generated accordingly, and a content item action associated with the environment event is performed in response to the environment event.

  • Publication number: 20220067152
Abstract: Techniques for determining and displaying error messages including a cause of an error generated because two types are not members of the same nest are disclosed. The system detects, at runtime, an instruction in a first type that attempts to access a private member of a second type. The system evaluates one or more nestmate criteria to determine whether the first type and the second type are within a same nest. A nest host corresponding to the nest specifies each nest member of the nest, and each nest member specifies an association with the nest. Responsive to determining that a particular nestmate criterion is not met, the system determines that the first type and the second type are not within the same nest and records or displays data identifying the particular nestmate criterion that has not been met, and throws an access error.

  • Publication number: 20220050959
Abstract: A method for maintaining links and revisions for a plurality of documents is described. The method is carried out by one or more computing devices. Requests that indicate revisions to be carried out on the plurality of documents are received, at least one of the requests corresponding to revisions for different documents of the plurality of documents. For each request: a workspace revision counter that is shared by the plurality of documents is incremented, the workspace revision counter indicating a revision state of the plurality of documents, the revision is queued in a workspace revision queue that is shared by the plurality of documents, and the revision indicated by the request is caused to be performed on one or more documents of the plurality of documents that correspond to the request.

  • Patent number: 11249813
Abstract: Roughly described, a task control system for managing multi-scale simulations receives a case/task list which identifies cases to be evaluated, at least one task for each of the cases, and dependencies among the tasks. A module allocates available processor cores to at least some of the tasks, constrained by the dependencies, and initiates execution of the tasks on allocated cores. A module, in response to completion of a particular one of the tasks, determines whether or not the result of the task warrants stopping or pruning tasks, and if so, then terminates or prunes one or more of the uncompleted tasks in the case/task list. A module also re-allocates available processor cores to pending not-yet-executing tasks in accordance with time required to complete the tasks and constrained by the dependencies, and initiates execution of the tasks on allocated cores.

  • Publication number: 20210388972
Abstract: A luminaire with a tool-less assembly feature that enhances ease of installation and serviceability in the field. The luminaire's housing defines a compartment accessible via a window adjacent a pair of opposed shoulders. The luminaire further includes a lighting module dimensioned to be received and retained in the window in an interference fit with the shoulders. The lighting module may include an LED module/light guide plate and/or an LED refractor assembly/LED gear tray. A resilient member is supported on the housing in position to abut the lighting module and deflect during insertion of the lighting module through the window, and to at least partially resile to maintain the lighting module against the shoulders in an operative position on the housing. Further, the resilient member is positioned to deflect during removal and to resile to tilt or otherwise assist in ejecting the lighting module from the housing during tool-less disassembly.

  • Publication number: 20210371762
Abstract: An ebullated bed hydroprocessing system is upgraded and operated at modified conditions using a dual catalyst system to produce less fouling sediment. The less fouling sediment produced by the upgraded ebullated bed reactor reduces the rate of equipment fouling at any given sediment production rate and/or concentration compared to the sediment produced by the ebullated bed reactor prior to upgrading. In some cases, sediment production rate and/or concentration are maintained or increased, after upgrading the ebullated bed reactor, while equipment fouling is reduced. In other cases, sediment production rate and/or concentration are increased, after upgrading the ebullated bed reactor, without increasing equipment fouling. In some cases, sediment production rate and/or concentration are decreased by a given percentage, after upgrading the ebullated bed reactor, and the rate of equipment fouling is decreased by a substantially greater percentage.
