  • Patent number: 7380691
Abstract: A shape supporting and form maintaining device, known as a “HatNoodle”, for a cap. The cap includes two components, an essentially hemispherical crown component and an attached visor component. The aforementioned “HatNoodle” device is constructed from a resilient material and includes a bottom surface and an essentially convex top surface. The bottom surface may contain a plurality of insertion holes that extend into, but not completely through, the material of the device and are used when installing the device into a cap. The top surface of the device contains a plurality of compliance slots wherein each compliance slot begins at the center of the top surface of the device and proceeds outward in a radial direction. The compliance slots facilitate installing a cap onto the device. These compliance slots also allow the device to better conform to the shape of the inside surface of the crown of the cap hat it resides within.

  • Patent number: 7356496
Abstract: A system and method for keeping ledger accounts in synchronization between a back-end procurement system and a front-end requisition and catalog system. An extract utility extracts a file of general ledger (G/L) accounts, including account code, description, and company code, from a chart of accounts in the back-end and transfers it to the front-end, where it is updated by an update utility to include company group code from a company group table and then loaded into a data store of valid general ledger accounts. Maintenance of the front end data store of valid accounts includes pushing to all companies in a company group ledger code entered with respect to any one of the companies in that group.

  • Publication number: 20070240019
Abstract: Systems, methods and media for clearing a hung I2C bus are disclosed. In one embodiment, a monitor monitors the I2C bus data and clock lines and detects if a hung bus occurs. The monitor times packet transactions on the bus to determine if a maximum transaction time has elapsed while the lines are in a hung state. The monitor allows selective reset of individual slave devices and bus masters to clear a hung bus.

  • Publication number: 20060234818
Abstract: The Match-Play-Version Basketball Process is a method of wagering on conventional basketball games, which is employed while observing conventional basketball games via television or in person at an arena. The product of the Process is called a “match” to distinguish it from the actual game, for wagering purposes only. It has no official standing. The process consists of dividing the official time limit into sixteen consecutive segments of equal duration, called “rounds,” and keeping score accordingly, by awarding one point to the team that scores the most points in each round. The winner of the most rounds wins the match. All wagers are based entirely and exclusively on the rounds; thus the total score of the game is irrelevant to the ad hoc match that it breeds.

  • Patent number: 7022186
Abstract: A system, method and apparatus for collecting overspray from single color coating applications. Within a spraying area are one or more curtains. The curtains are continuously coated on one side with the material to be sprayed through material dispensers aimed at the upper region of the panel curtains. The material dispensers coat the panel curtains so that material runs down the panel curtains and into a recycling pan. Spraying equipment is used to coat the object. The spraying occurs in the direction of the panel curtains. Thus, any overspray material from the spraying process is deposited on the panel curtains. The flowing material on the curtain collects the overspray material to and transfers it to the collection pan for re-use in the collection process. In the collection pan, one or more agitators may be used to ensure proper consistency is maintained for the material.

  • Publication number: 20040101074
Abstract: A filter device is for use in a digital communications receiver. The filter device processes an incoming signal from a digital transmitter having a first filter response providing a first spectral pulse shape in frequency space. The filter device has a second filter response having a more rapid cut-off than the first filter response and provides when applied to the first spectral pulse shape an output signal comprising a second spectral pulse shape in frequency space selected to substantially minimize inter-symbol interference. The second spectral shape may also be selected to substantially minimize adjacent-channel noise. A receiver and a communications system incorporating the filter device and a method of filtering in a receiver are also described.

  • Patent number: 6666741
Abstract: A golf ball novelty item including a spherical housing having an exterior appearance of a golf ball and which is approximately the same size as a conventional golf ball. A motion sensor is provided in the interior compartment of the golf ball which senses human intrusion into a specified area around the housing. A voice producing and emitting means is operatively connected to the motion sensor so that the voice producing and emitting means will emit a predetermined message when a human intrudes into the specified area around the housing. Preferably, a ground stake is secured to the golf ball for anchoring the golf ball.

  • Publication number: 20020143699
Abstract: An invoice processing system includes a requisition and catalog server (referred to as a Req/Cat Web, or RCW, server), a procurement services system (SAP), and a requester terminal (browser). ReqCat Web allows requesters to input requirements (requisitions) which ReqCat then passes to SAP, which creates purchase orders, sends them to vendors for fulfillment, receives the vendors invoices, and prepares the payments. Commodities may be designated as either receivable or non-receivable, and this designation is stored in ReqCat web and passed to SAP on inbound requisitions. Payments on invoices received for non-receivable items are approved via a positive confirmation process, and payments on invoices received for receivable items are approved via a negative confirmation process. Positive acceptance of an invoice by a requester of commodities triggers automatic generation of a goods received (move) ticket.
