    Abstract: A heat transfer apparatus including a housing and a wick structure is provided that is configured to dissipate heat from a heat source. The housing defines a chamber that holds working fluid. The wick structure includes a body and pores defined by the body. The heat transfer apparatus defines an evaporator section configured to evaporate the working fluid using heat from a heat source and a condenser section configured to dissipate heat carried by the evaporated working fluid through condensation of the evaporated working fluid. The wick structure has a repeatable, configurable, and controlled geometry optimized to move the working fluid from the condenser section to the evaporator section via capillary action. The body of the wick structure may have a gyroidal geometry. Associated methods are also provided.

    Abstract: Various examples relate to collimated phase measuring deflectometry. In one example, is a collimated phase measuring deflectometer system with a screen that emits a structured light pattern; a collimation optical system comprising a Fourier lens positioned such that the structured light pattern passes through the collimation optical system; a beam splitter positioned such that the structured light pattern is redirected to illuminate a surface of a specimen under test (SUT); and a camera having a telecentric lens positioned such that a deflected pattern produced by illuminating the surface of the SUT is captured by the camera. The deflection pattern is insensitive to the distance from the collimated phase measuring deflectometer to the SUT surface. In another example, a method includes emitting a structured light pattern; collimating the emitted light pattern; reflecting collimated light to illuminate a SUT surface; and acquiring an image of a deflected pattern produced by the illumination.

    Abstract: A method and a device for direction of arrival estimation based on one-bit quantization antenna array, the method including: designing a received signal model of robust one-bit radar, designing an optimal objective function of the robust one-bit radar, replacing a first function in the optimal objective function with a second objective function to obtain a new optimal objective function, and according to the new optimal objective function, adopting a proximal alternating minimization method and a gradient descent method to solve the optimization problem and obtain an incident angle of a target echo signal. The embodiments reshape the received signal model of the one-bit radar, enabling the received signals to preserve or reflect the distribution information of noise data. The embodiments utilize a specific norm to describe the distribution of noise, effectively suppressing quantization error bits generated by low signal-to-noise ratio when estimating DoA with one-bit algorithm.
