    Abstract: Circuits and methods for testing power electronics devices. In some examples, a reconfigurable load tester includes a power conversion circuit configured to couple to a device under test (DUT). The reconfigurable load tester includes a controller configured for controlling the electronically-controlled switches of the submodules.     Abstract: The present invention discloses a highly selective alicyclic polyamide nanofiltration membrane and a making method thereof. The method comprises the following steps: alternately and uniformly coating at least an alicyclic acid chloride solution and at least an alicyclic amine solution on a porous support membrane, using a spin coating method or a soaking method, to form at least one layer of the alicyclic polyamide nanofiltration membrane. Preferred embodiments exhibit improved ion selectivity, e.g. increased water flux, enhanced divalent/monovalent rejection selectivity, reduced fouling and improved divalent rejection rate (Ca2+, Mg2+) compared to the traditional aromatic-alicyclic mixed-structure polyamide nanofiltration membrane and/or the whole aromatic polyamide nanofiltration membrane.

    Abstract: The disclosure discloses a method for reinforcing a rail by laser and auxiliary heat source efficient hybrid cladding. The laser and the auxiliary heat source simultaneously apply on a region to be cladded of a rail surface. The laser serves as a main heat source to enable simultaneous and rapid fusion of an added metal powder and partial substrate material in the rail surface to form a molten pool. The auxiliary heat source moves with the laser heat source in the same direction at the same speed, and performs synchronous preheating and/or post-heating on the laser molten pool, the heat-affected zone and the surface layer of the rail substrate to reduce the temperature gradient, thereby reducing the cooling rate, and avoiding martensite transformation and cracking in the heat-affected zone.

    Abstract: Inhibitors of AMPA-type glutamate ion channels are useful as biochemical probes for structure-function studies and as drug candidates for a number of neurological disorders and diseases. Disclosed herein is the identification of an RNA inhibitor or aptamer by an in vitro evolution approach and characterization of its mechanism of inhibition on the sites of interaction by equilibrium binding and on the receptor channel-opening rate by a laser-pulse photolysis technique. The aptamer of the invention is a noncompetitive inhibitor of AMPA-type glutamate ion channels, one that selectively inhibits the GluA2Qflip AMPA receptor subunit without any effect on other AMPA receptor subunits or on kainate or NMDA receptors. Furthermore, the aptamer preferentially inhibits the closed-channel state of GluA2Qflip with a KI=1.5 ?M or by ˜15-fold over the open-channel state. The potency and selectivity of this aptamer rival those of small molecule inhibitors.
