Abstract: A method for operating a transmission-reception point (TRP) includes determining a first cycle of backhaul communications modes for the TRP, each backhaul communications mode of the first cycle is associated with a different time period and prompts the TRP to either transmit or receive using a subset of communications beams available to the TRP during an associated time period, wherein the communications beams used by the TRP and neighboring TRPs of the TRP in each associated time period are selected to prevent mutual interference, and wherein at least one backhaul communications mode of the first cycle prompts the TRP to either transmit or receive using all of the communications beams available to the TRP, determining a backhaul frame configuration for the TRP in accordance with the first cycle, the backhaul frame configuration specifying an arrangement of subframes of a frame used for backhaul communications.

Abstract: The disclosure includes a method for providing a data link between one or more high frequency Transmission Points (TPs) and a User Equipment (UE) in a wireless network, the method including receiving, by the UE, an assignment from a macro cell in the heterogeneous wireless network, wherein the assignment includes a UE specific reference signal set that maps to one or more high frequency TP downlink beams. The UE identifies each of the one or more TP downlink beams by detecting the UE specific reference signals sent in each of the one or more TP downlink beams. The UE measures a quality of each of the one or more TP downlink beams and selects a selected beam from the one or more TP downlink beams based on the quality. The UE establishes the data link to the high frequency TP that transmitted the selected beam using the selected beam.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present application provide a method and system for task processing. During operation, the system may receive a task event generated by a task sending device with an initial state of the task event being a to-be-accepted state. The system may perform a first reminding operation associated with the task event for a user. Upon receiving a predetermined user response, the system may change the state of the task event from the to-be-accepted state to an activated state, wherein the predetermined user response is responsive to the first reminding operation associated with the task event.

Abstract: Embodiments relate to a data transmission method and device. A feedback request is sent by a first device to user equipment that instructs the user equipment to feed back channel indication data to a network device. The channel indication data indicates that a channel is occupied by the first device within a time that corresponds to the channel indication data. The network device includes the first device and one additional device. The first device receives the channel indication data sent by the UE. The first device performs data transmission with the UE using the channel within the time that corresponds to the channel indication data.

Abstract: A method includes determining that a change is needed to a configuration of a user equipment (UE) centric cloud cell, where the determining is in accordance with measurement reports of beam-formed reference signals transmitted by mmWave TPs of a measurement set, and when the change comprises a change to a modulation coding scheme (MCS) level of a communications link associated with the UE centric cloud cell, adjusting the MCS level of the communications link. The method includes when the change comprises at least one of a change to a communications beam or a mmWave TP change, sending a change query requesting the at least one of the change to the communications beam or the mmWave TP change, and receiving from a central controller a confirmation message. The method includes updating a mmWave UE and second mmWave TPs of the UE centric cloud cell regarding the change.

Abstract: A method includes measuring beam-formed reference signals transmitted by a plurality of mmWave transmission points (TPs), sending a cloud cell formation request including indicators associated with best mmWave TPs determined in accordance with the measured beam-formed reference signals, receiving a cloud cell formation request response including indicators associated with a subset of the best mmWave TPs selected by a central controller in accordance with selection information, where the subset of the best mmWave TPs includes a first mmWave transmission point (TP) serving as a master TP and a second mmWave TP serving as a slave TP, and establishing a cloud cell with mmWave TPs of the subset of the best mmWave TPs selected by the central controller, where a data connection is established with the slave TP and at least a control connection is established with the master TP.

Abstract: A method for communicating in a communications system using beamformed transmissions includes blanking an interference antenna beam out of a plurality of available antenna beams that one of causes interference to and receives interference from at least one neighboring base station during a conflict time interval of a frame, wherein the blanking is in accordance with configuration information comprising frame configuration information received from the at least one neighboring base station and frame configuration information of a serving base station (SBS), thereby producing a plurality of candidate antenna beams, scheduling communications opportunities for user equipments (UEs) in the conflict time interval on the plurality of candidate antenna beams, and communicating with scheduled UEs using the communications opportunities.

Abstract: A method of link adaptation is described including establishing, using a first serving point, a multi-user full duplex mode wherein the multi-user full duplex mode enables a downlink to a first wireless device and an uplink from a second wireless device. The first serving point requests from the first wireless device a first channel quality indicator indicating channel quality between the serving point and the first wireless device in a full duplex time period and a second channel quality indicator indicating channel quality between the serving point and the first wireless device in non-full duplex time period. The full duplex mode is evaluated using the first and second channel quality indicators. At least one parameter of the full duplex mode is adjusted based on the evaluating.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a system for generating a user-targeting alert notification based on an existing communication message. The system improves significantly over previous systems by providing more efficient and expeditious user operation. A computing device receives an instruction to generate a user-targeting alert notification based on an existing communication message. In response to determining that a body of the existing message indicates a target user in a designated format, the computing device adds the target user as a recipient of the user-targeting alert notification, generates the notification based on the body of the existing communication message, and sends the notification to the recipient.

Abstract: A method, system, and computer program product that provides a two-index system for clusters of small cells in a wireless network. A first index is employed for access to and identification of a serving cell within a cluster of small cells. A second index indicates a group of small cells for determining mobility control. The first index may be derived from primary/secondary synchronization signals, or from frequency/time division multiplex signal position. The second index may be indicated in system/master information block signals or predefined as a plurality of small cells identified by the first index for each cell. Determination of physical cell identification is aided by providing a plurality of primary/secondary synchronization (PSS/SSS) signal alternating configurations with indicator, wherein a maximum number of configurations is predefined.

Abstract: In one aspect, disclosed herein are devices, systems, and methods for assessing human health states based on non-shadow imaging of sclera, or whites, of one or both eyes. In one aspect, the device is an on-body device. In one aspect, the system comprises a positioning aperture, an illuminating apparatus, an imaging apparatus, and/or a processing apparatus. In one aspect, the process only takes a short period of time to take images of the sclera without any operation of splicing multiple images. In one aspect, the device or system improves the quality of images by avoiding the formation of reflection of the illuminating apparatus on the images of the sclera. In a further aspect, the system can utilize the sclera images to obtain information of eye diseases and to predict the physiological and pathological changes in the health status of subject or diagnostic results, which can provide helpful information for medical diagnosis.

Abstract: A capacitor assembly is disclosed. The capacitor assembly includes a housing. The capacitor assembly further includes a plurality of capacitors disposed within the housing. Furthermore, the capacitor assembly includes a thermally conductive article disposed about at least a portion of a capacitor body of the capacitors, and in thermal contact with the capacitor body. Moreover, the capacitor assembly also includes a heat sink disposed within the housing and in thermal contact with at least a portion of the housing and the thermally conductive article such that the heat sink is configured to remove heat from the capacitor in a radial direction of the capacitor assembly. Further, a method of forming the capacitor assembly is also presented.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide an interference coordination method and a base station. The method includes: allocating, by a base station, a first almost blank subframe to one or more first base stations that are interfered with by the base station; sending, by the base station, a first message to one or more second base stations that interfere with the base station, where the first message includes information used to indicate the first almost blank subframe; and obtaining, by the base station, a second almost blank subframe that is allocated by the one or more second base stations to the base station, where the second almost blank subframe is different from the first almost blank subframe. Therefore, a resource collision problem in interference coordination can be eliminated, and resource utilization can be improved.

Abstract: A film capacitor is presented. The film capacitor includes a thermally conductive support. The thermally conductive support includes a core including a first end and a second end. The thermally conductive support further includes a protrusion extending from at least one of the first end and the second end of the core, where at least one of the core and the protrusion includes a phase change material. Further, the film capacitor also includes a plurality of films disposed on at least a portion of the thermally conductive support, where the plurality of films includes a plurality of electrode films and a dielectric film. Further, the thermally conductive support for the film capacitor and a method of forming the film capacitor are also presented.

Abstract: A wireless communication method of establishing and maintaining a cell cluster comprising at least one cell configured to communicate with at least one UE (User Equipment), comprising detecting a broadcast beacon signal. The method further comprises, in response to an absence of the broadcast beacon signal, assuming the role of a cluster head of a cluster having a specific intra-cell identifier, and broadcasting a beacon signal. In response to detecting the broadcast beacon signal and an absence of an intra-cell identifier, continuing to transmit and receive using a prior duplex communication configuration. Further, in response to detecting the broadcast beacon signal and a presence of the intra-cell identifier, joining the cell identified by the detected intra-cell identifier, and setting its intra-cell identifier based on the detected intra-cell identifier.

Abstract: A method for a victim base station to manage almost blank subframe (ABS) resources in a heterogeneous network deployment is disclosed and the method comprises categorizing each of one or more protected ABS resources as one of a primary protected ABS resource and a secondary protected ABS resource, the one or more protected ABS resources allocated by a target aggressor base station and one or more neighbor aggressor base stations; classifying each of one or more associated UEs as a fully interfered UE or a partially interfered UE; and scheduling the one or more ABS resources for the one or more associated UEs based on the category of each categorized ABS resource and classified status of each associated UE.
