    Abstract: This disclosure features use of a paper or polymer film that includes a slip agent that can transfer to its surfaces. Once the paper or film is pressed against a glass sheet, this will leave a thin surface roughness of slip agent that can prevent or reduce glass surface scratches from other surfaces or particles during shipping or finishing (e.g., cutting to size, conveyance of glass), thereby improving the yield of glass shipments between glass forming plants and customers. The thin discontinuous layer of slip agent remaining on the glass surface can be washed off easily in subsequent washing processes. The paper or film can have the slip agent imbibed within the paper or coated on it as a surface member.

    Abstract: A process and apparatus for cutting a continuous glass ribbon involving the use of edge restrainers such as suction cups and clamps connected to an actuator of a robot tooling through a flexible linkage capable of reciprocal motion in the direction of the ribbon velocity. The use of the flexible linkage reduces peak pulling-force when the glass ribbon is pulled or pushed laterally to during bending and separation along a pre-formed score-line. The invention can be advantageously used in the bottom of the draw of a vertical down-draw forming process.

The float leader (105) is hollow. The high-level reed pipe (108) and the low-level reed pipe (109) are located in a high level and a low level inside the float leader (105) respectively. The magnet (107) is provided inside the floater (106). A motor is controlled by the relay (101) in the float switch. The motor begins to work when the relay (101) is switched on, and the motor stops working when the relay (101) is switched off. The switch has a long service life, high reliability and an excellent waterproof property. The float switch has a simple manufacture and installation process, less fraction defective and condemnation factor, thus further reduces the cost.
