Abstract: Various embodiments scalable statistical library characterization for electronic designs by identifying an electronic design, performing circuit simulations on strongly connected components on a component-by-component basis, performing the logic cone analysis on the entire electronic design, and performing combinations of influences on the electronic design caused by variations of parameters. Some embodiments perform simulations on one or more stronger parameters or the strongest parameter of a circuit component and use the simulation results to calibrate the predicted behaviors of one or more remaining circuit components of the electronic design. Various statistical or mathematical techniques may be used for performing the combinations of influences on the electronic design caused by variations of parameters. The techniques described are scalable with the increase in complexities and sizes of electronic designs while reducing or minimizing the impact on sensitivity accuracy.

Abstract: An embodiment discloses a sensor arrangement comprising disc shaped structure with a plurality of magnetic elements which are at least provided on end faces of the disc shaped structure. The sensor arrangement includes a hollow disc structure, the hollow disc structure comprising two end faces, wherein each of the two end faces of the second structure comprises a plurality of teeth spaced apart from each other, the teeth on the two end faces are arranged in opposing positions. Teeth on a respective same end face of the hollow disc structure are spaced from each other. The disc shaped structure is rotatable with respect to the hollow disc structure. A magnetic field sensor is provided to sense a magnetic field generated by the plurality magnetic elements.

Abstract: A blue phase liquid crystal composite material and a liquid crystal display comprising the same, can solve the problem of small Kerr constant of the current blue phase liquid crystal and the liquid crystal display comprising the same. The blue phase liquid crystal composite material of the present disclosure is produced by the photo polymerization of the components comprising: a parent blue phase liquid crystal, a benzyne compound, a chiral compound, a photo-polymerizable monomer, and a photoinitiator. The blue phase liquid crystal composite material of the present disclosure has the advantages of large Kerr constant, low voltage, high contrast, rapid response to electric field, good stability, and the like.

Abstract: This application relates to recombinant human interferon-like proteins. In one embodiment a recombinant protein created by gene shuffling technology in described having enhanced anti-viral and anti-proliferative activities in comparison to naturally occurring human interferon like alpha 2b (HuIFN-?2b). The invention encompasses a polynucleotide encoding the protein and recombinant vectors and host cells comprising the polynucleotide. Preferably the polynucleotide is selected from the group of polynucleotides each having a sequence at least 93% identical to SEQ ID: No. 1 and the protein is selected from the group of proteins each having an amino acid sequence at least 85% identical to SEQ ID No: 2. The proteins and compositions comprising the proteins can be used for treatment of conditions responsive to interferon therapy, such as viral diseases and cancer.

Abstract: A method and system for removing solids or displacing a fluid from a wellbore wherein a plurality of resilient rubber-like flexible reticulated open cell foam elements are dispersed in a fluid and pumped through drill pipe and into the annulus between the wellbore and the drill pipe. In the annulus, the foam elements impact and dislodge solids such as proppants, gravels, drilled cuttings and other solids or a fluid to be displaced and the proppants, etc. or the fluid are carried by the fluid containing the foam elements back to the surface or a different location in the wellbore. At the surface, the fluid containing the foam elements and the proppants, etc., is carried to a shale shaker where the solids and the foam elements are separated from the fluid. The separated solids and foam are collected for disposal and, after adding new foam elements, the fluid can be recirculated down hole.

Abstract: Techniques are disclosed related to cables that may be used within a medical device. According to one example, a cable may comprise multiple wires. Each wire may be formed of a biocompatible beta titanium alloy having an elastic modulus ranging from 30 GigaPascals (GPa) to 90 GPa and comprising at least two elements selected from a group of titanium, molybdenum, niobium, tantalum, zirconium, chromium, iron and tin. The cable may be heated to a stress-relieve temperature of the beta titanium alloy to allow the cable to retain a desired configuration while remaining ductile. The cable may be included within a medical device, such as a medical electrical lead.
