Abstract: A wind turbine installation monitoring device, for detecting relative movement between two adjacent components of a wind turbine installation is provided. The device comprises a deformable member together with a securing device. The securing device is configured to enable the device to be connectable to a wind turbine installation, in use. The deformable member is located across an interface between the adjacent components of a wind turbine installation. Further, a detection device is provided and configured to detect deflection of the deformable member and thereby to detect relative movement between the two components.

Abstract: The present invention provides methods, apparatus and systems for searching hypertext based multilingual Web information when searching on a network for keywords to be queried. A method includes: a receiving step for receiving keywords input by a user; a native language hypertext searching step for searching on the network, according to the keywords to be queried, for all hypertexts whose representing language is the same as a language representing the keywords and which matches the keywords to be queried; extracting hyperlinks related to an arbitrary language from all the searched hypertexts; a hyperlink ranking step for ranking the extracted hyperlinks according to the correlativity of the hyperlinks with the keywords to be queried; and returning to the user ranked search result. Thereby, an accurate cross language searching can be provided without extra machine translation effort, being more accurate and objective than machine translation, even than human translation.

Abstract: A channel equalizer obtains channel impulse responses (CIRs) for all subcarriers by way of filtering channel impulse responses of specific subcarriers using at least two filters. One of the two filters may be a low pass filter. At least one other of the at least two filters is implemented as a band pass filter having a variable filtering bandwidth, being available to establish various filtering bandwidths in response to various multi-path channel environments. By improving the performance of channel estimation, equalization may be improved.

A determination is made as to whether the resource content is linked to a user-defined indexing code. The user-defined indexing code is used to process the resource content to obtain a set of information describing the resource content. The user-defined indexing code is executed in response to determining that the resource content is linked to the user-defined indexing code. The set of information describing the resource content is obtained as an indexing result in response to the executing.

Abstract: A method of making a clarified tea extract to reduce the cloudiness of a beverage containing the clarified tea extract by producing an aqueous tea extract that contains tea insolubles, adding a food-acceptable acid and a salt to the aqueous tea extract simultaneously and thereafter holding the aqueous tea extract with minimal agitation to produce a precipitate and clarifying the aqueous tea extract. Another method of making a clarified tea extract by adding a base to extraction water, contacting the base-containing extraction water with a tea source to produce an aqueous tea extract, adding a food-acceptable acid to the aqueous tea extract, and thereafter holding the aqueous tea extract with minimal agitation to produce a precipitate and clarifying the aqueous tea extract.

Abstract: The location of a mobile terminal may be determined in response to signals received from a plurality of RFIDs. Information from a plurality of RFIDs for determining a location of a mobile terminal is received by the mobile terminal. The mobile terminal may maintain an in-range list that comprises all the RFIDs in which the mobile terminal is currently within their coverage range. The location of the mobile terminal is calculated in response to the received information for determining a location by calculating the common coverage area of the RFIDs in the in-range list.

Abstract: A method, apparatus and computer program for detecting an echo signal including interpolating at least one fast Fourier transformed OFDM signal received in the time-domain, interpolating the at least one signal generated by the time-domain interpolation in the frequency-domain, using a time-domain varying bandwidth low pass filter (LPF), with bandwidth that varies in response to a bandwidth control signal, measuring at least one signal to power ratio between a scattered pilot signal of the at least one signal generated by the time-domain interpolation and another scattered pilot signal of the at least one signal generated by the frequency-domain interpolation, and comparing the signal to power ratio to a threshold value to determine a state of an echo signal, and providing the bandwidth control signal with the determined echo state information to adjust the bandwidth of the time-domain LPF, based on the bandwidth control signal.

Abstract: A method, an apparatus and a system for information transmission are provided. The method includes the following steps. A second user equipment receives update information issued by a wireless access point (AP). The second user equipment is located within a coverage area of the wireless AP. After detecting that the second user equipment has the update information, a first user equipment establishes a connection with the second user equipment and obtains the update information from the second user equipment. The first user equipment is located outside the coverage area of the wireless AP. In the present invention, the user equipment can update the information without additionally increasing the transmit powers of the wireless AP and the user equipments when located outside the coverage area of the wireless AP, and thus the interference to other equipments is minimized.

Abstract: A full hybrid electric vehicle comprises a heat engine, a one-way-clutch connected to the engine shaft, an electric motor, a planetary gear unit, a clutch with limited torque, and a transmission. The planetary gear unit includes at least a sun gear (an input element), a ring gear (an input element) and a pinion carrier (an output element). The torque-limited clutch seats between two of the planetary gear elements. The engine is connected to and applies torque on one of the input elements. The electric motor is connected to and applies torque on the other input element. While the vehicle is running, the engine can be started smoothly by engaging the torque-limited clutch and controlling the motor torque, and a shock on the vehicle similar to a rough shift can be avoided.

Abstract: The present invention relates to the communication field and discloses a method for managing devices in a user network and a user network management entity which handles combining and splitting operations in the user network more efficiently. In the technical solution provided by the present invention, the management entity of the user network obtains the information about the location of the managed PANs and/or stand-alone devices, and, based on the location information, checks existence of any PAN and/or stand-alone device that can be combined or split. If any such device exists, the management entity performs the combining or splitting operation according to the combining or splitting mode preset or selected by the user.

Abstract: DVB-T receivers and methods may provide automatic detection of spectrum inversion using continual pilot correlation. A DVB-T receiver may include a demodulator, a fast Fourier transformation (FFT) unit, and a spectrum inversion detector. The demodulator may demodulate a received DVB-T digital signal according to a spectrum inversion signal, and the FFT unit may perform fast Fourier transformation (FFT) on the demodulated signal. The spectrum inversion detector may calculate continual pilot correlation values for the FFT-processed signal and may generate the spectrum inversion signal to indicate whether spectrum inversion has occurred according to the calculated correlation values. The DVB-T receiver may perform normal correlation and position inversion correlation on continual pilots using a spectrum inversion detector to automatically detect whether spectrum inversion has occurred. Related methods are also discussed.
