Patent number: 8083416Abstract: A hybrid fiber/copper connector assembly which permits repair of damaged fibers or copper conductors carried by a hybrid fiber/copper cable without requiring replacement of the entire connector assembly or the cable is disclosed. The hybrid fiber/copper connector assembly disclosed also allows individual hybrid fiber/copper connectors of the assembly to be converted from one gender to a different gender. The hybrid fiber/copper connectors of the assembly include removable keying members mountable to housings of the connectors. The removable keying members allow gender conversion and proper mating and orientation. The hybrid fiber/copper connector assembly also allows the individual connectors of the assembly to be converted from being hybrid fiber/copper connectors to being only fiber connectors or only copper connectors.Type: GrantFiled: November 26, 2008Date of Patent: December 27, 2011Assignee: ADC Telecommunications, Inc.Inventors: Jarrod Scadden, M'Hamed Anis Khemakhem, Jeffrey Louis Peters, Wayne M. Kachmar

Patent number: 8033848Abstract: A coaxial switching jack with a pair of coaxial assemblies mounted within a housing having a pair of front openings. The coaxial assemblies each include a center conductor and a shell conductor. The center conductors are connected by a first spring and the shell conductors are connected by a second spring. Insertion of a coaxial cable connector within one of the front openings deflects the springs from the corresponding coaxial assembly and disconnects the center and shell conductors of the two assemblies. The jack may also be configured to provide an electrical connection between the center and shell conductors of the second coaxial assembly if a coaxial cable connector is inserted within the first coaxial assembly. The connection between the center and shell conductors of the second coaxial assembly may allow for selection of a desired electrical impedance.Type: GrantFiled: October 16, 2009Date of Patent: October 11, 2011Assignee: ADC Telecommunications, Inc.Inventors: M'hamed Anis Khemakhem, Jeffrey Louis Peters, Duane Sand

Patent number: 8025529Abstract: A coaxial panel comprising a frame with a plurality of openings and a mounting frame for holding a plurality of coaxial jacks that is mounted to the frame is disclosed. Each mounting frame includes an exterior surface that includes an intermating structure for slidably coupling a first mounting frame to a second identical mounting frame in a sliding direction either in a vertical orientation or a horizontal orientation. The intermating structure configured such that two coupled mounting frames cannot be pulled apart in a direction generally perpendicular to the sliding direction. The coaxial jacks mounted to the mounting frame and the mounting frame include slidably intermating alignment structures for aligning front coaxial cable connection locations of the coaxial jacks with the plurality of openings in the frame.Type: GrantFiled: September 17, 2009Date of Patent: September 27, 2011Assignee: ADC Telecommunications, Inc.Inventors: Todd Bade, Zakh Bluband, Jeffrey Louis Peters

Publication number: 20090164581Abstract: A system and method for enabling co-browsing between two or more users accessing a website in separate sessions. Each of the users operates a web browser instance to browse the website. The website comprises one or more web pages, at least a portion of which includes embedded software code or script. A collaboration manager, established after the users consent to co-browsing, associates the sessions of the users. As the users navigate to new web addresses in the website or enter data into their browser instances, the software code or script embedded within the web pages rendered in the browser instances causes each user's browser to communicate changes in the web addresses or data to the collaboration manager. The collaboration manager receives the communicated changes and provides them to other co-browsing users. Synchronization of cursors, scroll-bar positions and other browser events is also supported.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 20, 2007Publication date: June 25, 2009Applicant: The Vanguard Group, Inc.Inventors: Louis Peter Bove, Joseph F.
