  • Patent number: 8997070
Abstract: A method for forming an extension to a scripting language compiler is disclosed. A compiler of a machine receives a source code that has a new keyword to a scripting language of the compiler. An extension compiler module processes the source code to support the new keyword. The compiler and the extension compiler module generate an executable machine code based on a process of the extension compiler module and the compiler.

  • Patent number: 8885567
Abstract: A system for wireless communication reduces implementation complexity for symbol level interference cancellation as applied to physical control and data channels, such as the physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) and physical downlink control channel (PDCCH). A user equipment (UE) categorizes tones of a signal into tone groups. A different noise whitening matrix is applied to each tone group for demodulation and decoding of the signal.

  • Publication number: 20140269246
Abstract: A method to enhance coverage and/or throughput in a heterogeneous wireless network includes detecting interference between a neighboring cell and a serving cell. The method also includes cancelling the interference using an adaptive technique based on whether the interference has colliding Common Reference Signal (CRS) tones or whether the interference has colliding Dedicated Reference Signal (DRS) tones.

  • Patent number: 8830920
Abstract: Methods, apparatus and computer program products are provided to improve the efficiency of resource allocation in wireless communication networks. In one provided embodiment, a wireless communication device determines a received signal strength of each of a number of signals received from a number of transmission sectors, provides first channel information for first signals including a signal having a highest received signal strength and signals having a received signal strength above a specified level relative to the highest received signal strength, provides second channel information for second signals including signals having a received signal strength below the specified level, and receives an allocation of one or more resource blocks from assigned transmission sectors based on a ranking of the first channel information, whereby the one or more resource blocks are reallocated to another wireless communication device, from another transmission sector, based on the second channel information.

  • Publication number: 20140153672
Abstract: A receiver circuit, including a multi-stage QAM de-mapper, for receiving a QAM data signal is disclosed. A first de-mapper circuit recovers a set of encoded data bits from the QAM data signal by calculating a plurality of distances between a received QAM symbol and each of a plurality of possible constellation points. A second de-mapper circuit then generates a set of unencoded data bits for the received QAM symbol based, at least in part, on the plurality of distances calculated by the first de-mapper circuit. The receiver circuit may further include a decoder circuit to decode the set of encoded data bits recovered by the first de-mapper circuit. The second de-mapper circuit may identify a subset of the plurality of possible constellation points based on a result of the decoding and select a constellation point that is associated with the shortest distance of the plurality of distances.

  • Publication number: 20140120275
Abstract: The embodiments of the present invention disclose a display device comprising: a display panel for displaying images; and a support member for supporting the display panel, wherein the display panel and the support member are connected by a first connecting member therebetween. The embodiments of the present invention do not use an upper housing specifically for covering the top edges of a display device but use a support member to cover the lower end or side parts of the display device. Therefore the overall thickness of the display device is reduced, and the border width of the display device is also reduced, which makes the foreside of the display device appears as an integral structure, resulting in an esthetic appearance.

  • Patent number: 8571663
Abstract: Featured is an apparatus an apparatus including a monitoring and sensing means, an electrode patch and a control device operably coupled to each of the sensing means and the electrodes and outputs signals to the electrodes for purposes of stimulating the phrenic nerve to thereby cause breathing by natural contraction of the diaphragm. The control device is configured and arranged to initially localize the phrenic nerve with respect to a given set of electrodes that is effective, when appropriately energized, for stimulating the phrenic nerve to establish negative pressure induced respiration in the body, based on the output signal(s) from the monitoring and sensing means. After such initially localizing; the control device thereafter repetitively outputs stimulation signals via the given set of electrodes so as to thereby continuously stimulate negative pressure induced respiration. Also featured are methods related thereto.

  • Patent number: 8050284
Abstract: A method for controlling burst assembly, device, and communication equipment thereof are provided. In the present invention, an assembly time and a predetermined time threshold are compared to determine a load change in a cache queue. If the load is increased or decreased suddenly, a length threshold is directly increased or decreased. If the load is to be increased, the length threshold is randomly increased according to a certain probability. If the load is to be decreased, the length threshold is randomly decreased according to a certain probability. If the load is in a normal state, the length threshold is maintained. Therefore, the length threshold is dynamically adjusted with the load change. The method and device provided by the present invention ensure an end-to-end (E2E) delay of the services and optimize the network performance.

  • Publication number: 20080026629
Abstract: An electrical connector (10) includes a base (101), and a cover (102) locatable above the base. The base has a major surface (1011) with a plurality of terminal receiving passageways (1010) extending therefrom. The cover has a major face (1025) opposite the major surface and spaced apart from the major surface of the base. A plurality of discrete protrusions (1012) is arranged extending longitudinally from one of said major face and said major surface towards the other, and positionable adjacent the passageways. Thus, a plurality of voids is located laterally adjacent the discrete protrusions and between the major surface of the base and the major face of the cover, thereby allowing the heat from pin-like conductive elements (21) of a CPU chip (20) to be dissipated through the plurality of laterally voids around the pin-like conductive elements.
