  • Publication number: 20110046894
Abstract: An embodiment of the present invention includes a method for discriminating between benign and malignant tissue lesions. The method includes the steps of using a plurality of maps of physiology and morphology parameters generated from reflectance measurements and pure morphology parameters generated from reflectance measurements. The method also includes calculating entropies and cross entropies of the plurality of maps, and calculating a plurality of pure morphology parameters. Further, the method includes assigning a weight to each entropy and a weight to a logarithm of each entropy, a weight to each cross entropy and a weight to a logarithm of each cross entropy, and a weight to each pure morphology parameter and a weight to a logarithm of each pure morphoiogy parameter.

  • Publication number: 20100322171
Abstract: Methods, apparatus and computer program products are provided to improve the efficiency of resource allocation in wireless communication networks. In one provided embodiment, a wireless communication device determines a received signal strength of each of a number of signals received from a number of transmission sectors, provides first channel information for first signals including a signal having a highest received signal strength and signals having a received signal strength above a specified level relative to the highest received signal strength, provides second channel information for second signals including signals having a received signal strength below the specified level, and receives an allocation of one or more resource blocks from assigned transmission sectors based on a ranking of the first channel information, whereby the one or more resource blocks are reallocated to another wireless communication device, from another transmission sector, based on the second channel information.

  • Patent number: 7682164
Abstract: An electrical connector (1) for attaching an IC package to a circuit member includes a base (3) defining four side walls, a number of terminals receiving in the base, a cover (4) slidably mounted on the base and a lever (5) slidably moving the cover relative to the base. The base defines a plurality of grooves (31) extending from one side wall of the base to any other side wall of the base and one end of the groove is communicated with exterior space to decline the temperature of the terminals.

  • Publication number: 20090220238
Abstract: A method for controlling burst assembly, device, and communication equipment thereof are provided. In the present invention, an assembly time and a predetermined time threshold are compared to determine a load change in a cache queue. If the load is increased or decreased suddenly, a length threshold is directly increased or decreased. If the load is to be increased, the length threshold is randomly increased according to a certain probability. If the load is to be decreased, the length threshold is randomly decreased according to a certain probability. If the load is in a normal state, the length threshold is maintained. Therefore, the length threshold is dynamically adjusted with the load change. The method and device provided by the present invention ensure an end-to-end (E2E) delay of the services and optimize the network performance.

  • Publication number: 20080026629
Abstract: An electrical connector (10) includes a base (101), and a cover (102) locatable above the base. The base has a major surface (1011) with a plurality of terminal receiving passageways (1010) extending therefrom. The cover has a major face (1025) opposite the major surface and spaced apart from the major surface of the base. A plurality of discrete protrusions (1012) is arranged extending longitudinally from one of said major face and said major surface towards the other, and positionable adjacent the passageways. Thus, a plurality of voids is located laterally adjacent the discrete protrusions and between the major surface of the base and the major face of the cover, thereby allowing the heat from pin-like conductive elements (21) of a CPU chip (20) to be dissipated through the plurality of laterally voids around the pin-like conductive elements.

  • Publication number: 20050266021
Abstract: A gel-forming free-flowing powder suitable for use as a vaccine is prepared by spray-drying or spray freeze-drying an aqueous suspension that contains an antigen adsorbed to an aluminum salt or calcium salt adjuvant, a saccharide, an amino acid or a salt thereof, and a colloidal substance. Powder for vaccine purposes are also prepared by spray freeze-drying an aqueous suspension of such an adjuvant having an antigen adsorbed therein. Processes for forming these powder compositions are also described, as well as methods of using the compositions in a vaccination procedure.
