Abstract: A pant-type article having a boxer-short configuration. The article includes first and second panels which are joined via a crotch region joining. Folding and inverting the panels, and sealing along side-seams and inner legs seams provides a boxer-short. Methods for manufacturing the pant-type article are also provided. The pant-type article can be manufactured in a continuous side-by-side fashion.

Abstract: An elastic laminate including a first nonwoven layer, a second nonwoven layer, and a plurality of elastic strands arranged in parallel with one another between said first and second nonwoven layers is disclosed, as well as a process for the production of the laminate. The elastic laminate includes elastic strands that are stretched and individually coated with an adhesive. The first and second nonwoven layers are attached to the stretched elastic strands to provide a corrugated elastic laminate when the elastic strands are relaxed. At least one of the nonwoven layers is attached to the strands at distinct adhesive bonding points in a repeating predetermined pattern in a lengthwise direction along the strands to form a predetermined corrugation pattern, and the nonwoven layers are substantially free of adhesive, except in the adhesive bonding points where the layers are attached to the elastic strands.

Abstract: A pant-includes front part, a back part and a crotch part, a waist portion and a pair of leg openings. The pant further includes a suspending member formed of elastic material and comprising zones of different elasticity. A first elastic zone having a relatively higher elongation is provided in a longitudinally extending central region of the crotch part, and a pair of second elastic zones having a relatively lower elongation extend along both sides of the first elastic zone at or close to the leg openings in the crotch part. The first and second elastic zones extend to the front part with the second elastic zones extending along both sides of the first zone.

Abstract: An absorbent article having a waistband which is attached to first and second body portions of the article. The first body portion is attached to the waistband by at least a fastening means wherein the article assumes a pant diaper form. The waistband has a reception surface and a perforation. The perforation allows the reception surface to be separated into first and second belt portions. At least a part of the reception surface is located on each belt portion, thereby allowing the article to assume a belt diaper form. The first belt portion comprises at least one fastening means. The second fastening means is arranged so that the absorbent article can be readily converted from a pant diaper form to a belt diaper form.
