Abstract: Absorbent garment such as a diaper and an incontinence guard, said garment has a first body panel, a second body panel and a crotch portion there between. The garment is provided with opposed laterally extending belt members attached to the waist portion of the first body panel and are adapted to be wrapped around the waist of the wearer of the garment and fastened together by a first fastener. The second body panel at its waist portion is provided with second fasteners adapted to be fastened to the belt members, in such a way that the garment will assume a pant-like shape. An elastic member extends in transverse direction along the waist portion of the first body panel and extends into at least a portion of each belt member.

Abstract: A urine absorbent pouch for male incontinence includes an absorbent core enclosed between two casing sheets. The casing sheets are extended beyond the lateral sides of the absorbent core and beyond the opposite longitudinal ends thereof and are attached to each other in the parts extending beyond the absorbent core. The unit of casings sheets and enclosed absorbent core are folded around a lateral fold line so that two parts of the unit are folded in over each other. The two pairs of attached casing sheets extending beyond the respective lateral side of the folded unit are sealed to each other by a seam extending from the fold line in a longitudinal direction and ending a distance from the ends of the folded unit. The two parts of the unit include a through-going hole, attaching means, and an elastic member provided along the peripheral edge of the hole.

Abstract: An absorbent garment having belt sections attached to the waist portion of a first body panel and fastened together by a first fastener, a second body panel at its waist portion being provided with a second fastener adapted to be fastened to at least one of the belt sections; wherein when the absorbent garment is tested by: (a) fastening a belted absorbent garment around movable mechanical members which are adapted to mechanically simulate a user's waist or hips; and (b) moving said members away from each other using actuating members and moving them back to their initial position so as to simulate the expansion and contraction of a user's waist as he/she moves; the garment does not slip down more than 15 cm from its initial position during at least ten expansion/contraction cycles of the test apparatus and for at least 30 seconds.

Abstract: A hygienic article having side panels extending outward in a lateral direction from either of said front or back waist region. Each side panel comprises at least two material segments which are connected to each other by a lap seam wherein said material segments define a distal segment and a proximal segment in the lateral direction. On the distal edge of each side panel a fastening member is placed which is capable of securing said side panels to the front or back waist region such that the hygienic article assumes a pant like shape. The material segments which form the side panels are attached to each other by the lap seam in such a way that when the side panels are folded back towards the longitudinal centreline of the hygienic article, the materials are attached to each other in the lap seam such that the most distal material segment is placed closer towards the inner or outer surface of the hygienic article than the more proximal material segment attached to said most distal segment.

The first body portion is attached to the waistband by at least a fastening means wherein the article assumes a pant diaper form. The waistband has a reception surface and a perforation. The perforation allows the reception surface to be separated into first and second belt portions. At least a part of the reception surface is located on each belt portion, thereby allowing the article to assume a belt diaper form. The first belt portion comprises at least one fastening means. The second fastening means is arranged so that the absorbent article can be readily converted from a pant diaper form to a belt diaper form.

Abstract: Disposable hygiene pants with a front portion (2), a rear portion (3) and a crotch portion (4) provided with two leg openings (5, 6), the longitudinal edge portions (21, 22) of the front portion being connected by longitudinal weld seams (7, 8) to the longitudinal edge portions (31, 32) of the rear portion (3) in order to form a waist opening (9) and the two leg openings (5, 6) in the crotch portion, which leg openings are outwardly delimited in the transverse direction by the inner end portions of the weld seams as seen in the longitudinal direction of the hygiene pants. The hygiene pants have an outer elastic cover (10) and have an absorption unit (11). The cover is made of an elastic laminate having an elastic film applied between two nonwoven layers. The weld seams (7, 8) are each reinforced by at least one nonwoven strip (15, 16) containing thermoplastic fibers and have a tensile strength, in a direction transverse to the weld seam, in excess of 5 N/25.

Abstract: A sanitary, absorbent article includes a hooks and loops type fastener for releasably attaching a first and a second part of the article to each other, wherein the first part is overlapping the second part when the parts are attached to each other, with a hooks member affixed to said first part of the article and a loops member affixed to the second part of the article. Each member has a base portion having a bottom surface affixed to the first or second part of the article and an opposite top surface containing hooks elements and loops elements, respectively. The fastener can include a first end region distal to the overlapping edge of the first part, in which the engagement force between the hooks and loops element of the members is reduced.

Abstract: Absorbent garment includes a containment assembly (8) having first and second transverse end edges (8a, 8b). The containment assembly includes a liquid pervious inner coversheet (6) on a wearer facing side, a liquid impervious outer coversheet (7) and an absorbent core (5) positioned between the inner and outer coversheets. The garment further includes at least one waist panel (9, 10) joined to one of the transverse end edges of the containment assembly (8), said waist panel (9, 10) is joined to the containment assembly (8) along a seam (11, 12) in which the wearer facing side of the waist panel faces the inner coversheet (6) of the containment assembly. The garment may be packed and stored folded in transverse direction (x) along said seam (11, 12). The invention also relates to methods for making the garment.
