A Document Type Definition (“DTD”) is generated as a “bounding DTD”, based on editing choices made using the meta editor, and one or more structured documents containing editing restrictions are generated according to this DTD and these editing choices. An editor (or editing component) is generated that programmatically determines which elements of another structured document can be edited, which elements should be hidden, and so forth.

    Abstract: Methods and apparatus for precisely monitoring and collecting data relating to the light treatment of a product in a treatment system. In one implementation, a method for use with a treatment system using light comprises the steps of: illuminating a product with a light treatment comprising light having a spectrum of wavelengths within a range of 170 to 2600 nm, the light treatment for treating the product; and measuring a fluence of a portion of the light treatment for each of a plurality of wavelengths of the spectrum of wavelengths simultaneously. In preferred implementations, the light treatment is a pulsed light treatment and the product is a biological fluid product flowed through a treatment chamber. Furthermore, in preferred implementations, the light treatment is for the deactivation of microorganisms, such as viruses, bacteria, fungus, and other pathogenic and non-pathogenic microorganisms.

    Abstract: A fluid treatment system consists of a light source for providing light and a flexible treatment chamber having an input port and an output port, at least a portion of the flexible treatment chamber positioned to receive the light. The at least the portion of the flexible treatment chamber is transmissive to at least 1% of the light having at least one wavelength within a range of 170 to 2600 nm and the flexible treatment chamber is adapted to allow a fluid to be treated to be flowed via the input port therethrough at a specified rate and out the output port. The light source illuminates the fluid as it flows through the flexible treatment chamber in order to deactivate pathogens within the fluid. In some embodiments, the light source is a pulsed light source for emitting short duration, pulses of polychromatic light.

A flange (22) provided with a external seal (23) cooperates with an end of the outer pipe (20). Openings (18) formed in the inner pipe (14) regulates water flow. The inner pipe is also sealingly interconnected with a main supply pipe (12) for entry of water through opening (16). An electrical motorized hoist (26) provides for activation and operation of the hydraulic valve system.

The device functions in a cryogenic environment without the need of heaters to keep the sensor at constant temperatures.

    Abstract: The system includes a plurality of flood plains. Each flood plain contains a plurality of plants and each plant is held in a pot. The flood plains are excavated at different elevations from an upper most elevation to a lower most elevation. The flood plains are sequentially flooded for a resident time period with a selected volume of water directed from a water source. As the flood plains are excavated to different elevations, gravity, and a series of flood gates, control the water flow from one flood plain to a next lower flood plain. Each flood plain has a top surface and an underlying bed comprising a soil and clay composition. The surface of each bed is contoured to adequately drain water from one flood plain to the next. This clay mixture firms the bed to adequately support vehicles and laborers to prevent depressions in the bed which may adversely affect water flow in and out of a flood plain. Each of the flood plains is lined with a water impermeable membrane.

The system utilizes a light-weight, weather proof board having color coded indicia thereon, and pegs for quickly recording the weight of a fish, where such system cooperates with a live well using color coded floaters, and that a given floater is assigned to a selected fish. The system allows for easy culling when the predetermined limit of fish is exceeded.

    Abstract: A portable basin is disclosed which is adapted to receive and support a selected part of a person's body for isolatable cleansing, treatment and the like with minimal discomfort to the person. The disclosed basin is of unitary, continuous sidewall construction having certain body supporting contour features on its bottom and top edge and certain self-stabilizing features. More particularly, a basin of this invention provides an integral elevated platform portion feature in its bottom for receiving and supporting a selected body part during cleansing or treatment within the interior of the basin and at least one seat defined in the top edge of its sidewall contoured for concurrently receiving and supporting an associated member of the selected body part. One disclosed preferred basin embodiment is particularly adapted for cleansing and treating the head of a person.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a chambered irrigation container construction adapted for holding irrigation liquid for delivery to a wound site by irrigation syringe or by pouring, an irrigation unit comprising the container and sterilizable irrigation kit therefor. The open-top container comprises a bottom portion and a substantially upright sidewall extending upward therefrom so that a first portion defines a first chamber, a second portion defines a second chamber and a neck portion defines a flow channel placing each chamber in fluid flow communication with one another. The irrigation container is stabilized against sideways tipping by certain stabilizing features and is nestable with similar containers by certain nesting features. In a preferred embodiment the first portion defines an integral spout and the exterior surface of the second portion defines an integral gripping means which cooperates with the second chamber to prevent an irrigation syringe received therein from entry into the flow channel and first chamber.

    Abstract: A safety system for use with boats to be stored in enclosed buildings to minimize potential problems of fires and explosions. This system has a transmitting unit for attachment to the boat itself which is energized when the electrical distribution system of the boat is energized. This transmnitting unit generates a signal indicating this energized state. A receiving unit associated with the building receives any output signal of the transmitting unit and sounds an alarm when this output signal is detected by the receiving unit. In the preferred form, the transmitting unit and the receiving unit utilize infra-red light as the generated and received signal. Also in the preferred embodiment, the detector unit has a plurality of detector elements arranged along the side and top edges of a doorway leading into the storage facility. As a result of this system it can be assured that no boat with an energized electrical distribution system is stored within the facility.

    Abstract: A brake slack adjuster with axially aligned, first and second load members connectible at their free ends, respectively, to the brake rigging and a lever operable by the piston of the brake cylinder. First and second brakes act between the load members. The second load member is movable axially with respect to the first brakes which, in first relative positions thereof, permits axial movement of the load members relative to each other and which, in second relative positions thereof, prevents relative axial movement of the load members. The second brake is movable relative to the second load member and prevents relative movement of the load members until the braking force exceeds a value, such as 1000 pounds. The second brake is releasable by a spring loaded, axially movable actuator so that the second load member can move axially to its second position and cause actuation of the first brake.

    Abstract: A dual thermostat apparatus includes two thermostats which generate fluid control signals proportional to room air temperature. The thermostats are matched leakport pressure sensors having a signal orifice and a bimetal lid element to generate back pressure signals linearly related to temperature. The bimetal elements have adjustment cams to set the reference position with respect to the orifice. The cams are connected to a common shaft and dial to provide simultaneous and opposite readjustment with respect to the reference pressures. The signals are applied to separate signal chambers of the duplex relay, with a pressure regulator connected to the heat signal chamber to limit the operative pressure level of the heating signal to a selected maximum switchover pressure. The duplex relay controls a pressure supply valve for supplying a proportional pressure signal to a common output line to pneumatic operators of a heating valve and a cooling valve.
