  • Publication number: 20030220064
Abstract: A coin processing apparatus has an opening for receiving a plurality of coins of different types, a coin sensor adapted to determine a respective type of individual coins among the plurality of coins, a controller operatively coupled to the coin sensor, a coin separator operatively coupled to the controller and capable of separating the individual coins from the plurality of coins under control of the controller. Moreover, the apparatus has a coin packaging device comprising a coin inlet, a supply of packaging material and a packaging mechanism capable of producing a plurality of coin bags from the supply, so that at least two different coin types are packaged in the coin bags in a continuous operation.

  • Patent number: 6640566
Abstract: Method and apparatus for providing an automatic defroster function for a surface in a vehicle including a sensor for detecting the presence of mist or ice on such a surface, means for generating control signals, on the basis of the sensor data, for a number of functions in the car for an optimum defroster function on said surface, means for receiving these control signals, and means for receiving control signals from a temperature regulator in the car for a number of functions in the car. A number of the control signals from the temperature regulator are intended to control the same functions as the control signals for the optimum defroster function, and the same means are used for receiving control signals for optimum defroster function and for receiving some of the control signals from the temperature regulator. The means for receiving control signals are intended, in the event of conflict, to select those control signals that are designed to give the best defroster function.

  • Publication number: 20030166402
Abstract: The invention relates to an update of an association (Gs) from a serving GPRS support node (SGSN) to a mobile switching center (MSC1, . . . , MSCn) in a pool (12) of mobile switching centers. After receipt of a routing area update from a mobile station (MS), there follows a detection of a new assignment between the mobile unit (MS) to a mobile switching center (MSC) in the pool (12) of mobile switching centers. After detection of a new assignment, there follows the initialization of an association update from a serving GPRS support node to a new mobile switching center in the pool of mobile switching centers (12).

  • Patent number: 6549790
Abstract: The portable telecommunications apparatus has an audio input for receiving sound, an audio output for generating sound, a controller for controlling the audio input and the audio output, and an audio accessory interface for operatively connecting an external audio accessory. The accessory is capable of receiving external sound and forwarding it as audio signals to the apparatus and/or capable of generating external sound in response to audio signals supplied from the apparatus. The controller is arranged to receive a request for an audio service from any of at least two audio accessories operatively connected to the apparatus. The controller also has a logical state machine, the individual states of which represent possible operational conditions for the telecommunication apparatus and the audio accessories. The state machine defines how the request for audio service is to be handled each of the operational conditions.

  • Publication number: 20030010599
Abstract: The present invention concerns a dirt separation module (1) for use at a coin sorting and/or counting machine (11). The module has an inlet (2) for coins (14) and a perforated plate (3). The perforated plate is received sliding in relation to the inlet (2) and is stepped. The invention also includes a CDS machine furnished with a dirt separation module (1). Furthermore, the invention concerns a method by which the plate is given a reciprocating movement to move the lowermost layer of coins (14) from the mass of coins.
