  • Patent number: 10110702
Abstract: Systems and methods are described that configure network devices to dynamically (1) download privilege setting definitions from an authentication server to address a currently connected set of client devices associated with these privilege setting definitions and (2) clear privilege setting definitions that are no longer in use by client devices connected to the network device. In particular, a network device may determine if a privilege setting definition associated with a successfully authenticated client device is locally available on the network device and request the privilege setting definition from the authentication server when not locally available. In some situations, the authentication server may selectively transmit update messages to network devices that may be affected by an update to a privilege setting definition such that the network devices may request this updated privilege setting definition for download.

  • Publication number: 20180295663
Abstract: A UE may receive, via a first communication link that uses a first radio access technology (RAT), information that identifies a threshold associated with a second communication link that uses a second RAT. The UE may monitor one or more communications on the second communication link. The UE may determine whether a parameter associated with the second communication link satisfies the threshold based at least in part on monitoring the one or more communications on the second communication link. • Publication number: 20180270422
Abstract: A method and system for detection of contaminants present on a lens of an imaging device is disclosed. An input image received from an imaging device is split into a plurality of patches of predefined size and a kurtosis value calculated for each and compared with a median kurtosis value. Patches having kurtosis value less than the median kurtosis value are selected. Based on comparison of a first maximum likelihood of the selected patches with a predefined threshold, one or more selected patches are stored. Such patches are split into a top and a bottom portion for processing based on discrete wavelet transform and singular value decomposition, respectively. The top and the bottom portion are merged patches for which a second maximum likelihood is greater than a second predefined threshold, are stored. Further, contaminants in the image are classified into predefined categories based on one or more image features.

  • Patent number: 9968899
Abstract: Apparatuses and methods are disclosed for detecting catalyst transfer pipe plugging in a chemical plant or petrochemical plant or refinery. The catalyst transfer pipe may extend from a reactor to a catalyst collector and enable the flow of catalyst from the reactor to the catalyst collector. Specifically, one or more sensors affixed to a catalyst transfer pipe may collect sensor data for analysis. Based on one or more detected changes in the sensor data outside a range, a data collection platform may send one or more alerts and/or send one or more signals to a control platform to adjust a flow rate, a pressure differential, or perform another action to clear a developing catalyst buildup and thereby attempt to avoid a catalyst transfer pipe from becoming plugged.

  • Publication number: 20180119696
Abstract: An air compressor system useful for supplying a stream of compressed air for an end user is disclosed which includes a refrigerated dryer useful to remove moisture and harvest it from the compressed air. The refrigerated dryer includes an evaporator and a condenser, where the evaporator is useful to produce the moisture from the compressed air. The air compressor system includes an expansion tank which collects the harvested moisture from the evaporator. The expansion tank can include a low liquid level sensor useful to determine a low liquid level of condensate in the expansion tank. The low liquid level sensor can produce a signal indicating a low level of condensate which can be used to shut off a pump that pulls water from the expansion tank and provides it to the condenser of the refrigerated dryer.
