  • Patent number: 10992777
Abstract: A computer implemented method for determining the identity of an Over-the Top (OTT) application or service being accessed over the Internet from a HTTP, HTTPS or QUIC connection request received in a network monitoring device. Determine if one or more entries are present in the received connection request have an IP address that matches a known server IP address. A determination is then made as to whether if the received connection request is one of a HTTP, HTTPS or QUIC connection request, and if this cannot be determined than determine if a subject field in the received connection request is available. And determine if a candidate domain name is available from IP cache created from one or more of the above steps if a subject field is not available in the received connection request.

  • Publication number: 20210117472
Abstract: In some embodiments, a method receives a file describing characteristics for delivery of a creative on a video delivery system. The file is queried to identify elements in the string that define metadata. The string is written in a structural language and defines characteristics for the delivery of the creative. The method retrieves tag metadata for tags that define structural elements and validates the tag metadata based on a first specification. Media file metadata is obtained for a media file based on a link to the media file and the media file metadata is validated based on a second specification. The method outputs a result based on the validations. The creative is eligible for insertion during a break of streaming a main video on the video delivery system when the tag metadata and the media file metadata are validated.

  • Patent number: 10983717
Abstract: A conditional construction container (CCC) provides seamless restore operation during abort event. During normal restore, the CCC assumes a hold state, wherein data blocks are sent from the backup source to the restore host directly. When interrupt occurs, the CCC assumes compression mode, wherein the CCC compresses the data blocks and stores the compressed blocks in memory allocated to the CCC. When the restore operation can resume, the backup agent instructs the CCC to begin data reconstruction operation and the CCC will assume busy mode no longer accepting new data blocks. During the busy state the CCC decompresses the compressed data blocks from the container and reconstruct the original data onto the restore host. Since the container constructed in the memory allocated to the CCC contain data that was obtained upon the interrupt, the restore operation resumes by reconstructing the data from the point of the interrupt seamlessly.

  • Patent number: 10979805
Abstract: A method and apparatus for auto-directive adaptive beamforming for a microphone array using microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) sensor orientation information are provided. The microphone array captures audio and the MEMS sensor detects an orientation of the microphone array. A direction of arrival of a source signal is estimated based on the data representative of the audio. A change in an orientation of the microphone array is detected based on the orientation and the direction of arrival is compensates based on the change in the orientation of the microphone array. The apparatus pre-steers a beam of a beam pattern of the microphone array based on the compensated direction of arrival to retain the source signal in a broadside of the microphone array and performs adaptive wideband beamforming to null one or more interfering sources in the beam pattern while retaining the source signal in the broadside of the microphone array.

  • Patent number: 10976337
Abstract: A distributed computing system for artificial intelligence in autonomously appreciating a circumstance context of a smart device. Raw context data is detected by sensors associated with the smart device. The raw context data is pre-processed by the smart device and then provided to a cloud based server for further processing. At the cloud based server, various sets of feature data are obtained from the pre-processed context data. The various sets of feature data are compared with corresponding classification parameters to determine a classification of a continuous event and/or a classification of transient event, if any, which occur in the context. The determined classification of the continuous event and the transient event will be used to autonomously configure the smart device or another related smart device to fit the context.
