  • Publication number: 20200394477
Abstract: Methods, systems, and techniques for monitoring an object-of-interest within a region involve receiving at least data from two sources monitoring a region and correlating that data to determine that an object-of-interest depicted or represented in data from one of the sources is the same object-of-interest depicted or represented in data from the other source. Metadata identifying that the object-of-interest from the two sources is the same object-of-interest is then stored for later use in, for example, object tracking.

  • Patent number: 10868906
Abstract: A portable device includes one or more memories and travel mode control circuitry coupled to the one or more memories. The travel mode control circuitry, in operation, monitors motion data and detects a first travel state of the device based on the monitored motion data and an acceleration profile. When the first travel state of the device is detected, motion data and pressure data are monitored to detect a transition from the first travel state to a second travel state of the device. When the transition to the second travel state of the device is detected, one or more control signals are generated to cause the device to enter a first travel mode of operation.

  • Publication number: 20200389114
Abstract: A method for controlling switched reluctance machine (SRM) utilizing a SRM control system. The method allows for adaptive pulse positioning over a wide range of speeds and loads. An initial rotor position is provided for the SRM utilizing an initialization mechanism. A pinned point on a phase current waveform is defined during an initial current rise phase of the current waveform. A slope of the current rise is determined as the current waveform reaches the pinned point. The slope is then fed to the commutation module of the SRM control system. An error signal from calculated inductance or current slope is used as an input to a control loop in the SRM control system. The time determining module determines an optimum time signal to fire a next pulse. The optimum time signal is fed to the SRM for turning the plurality of SRM switches to on and off states.

  • Publication number: 20200389516
Abstract: A resource management system is disclosed herein that quickly and dynamically tailors application resource provisioning to real-time application resource consumption. The resource management system may service application requests using resources selected from a pool of servers, the pool of servers including a mixture of virtual server resources and serverless instance resources. The serverless instance resource may comprise software objects programmed using a machine image reflecting one or more states of a virtual application server booted using application-specific program code. Supporting an application using serverless instances enables dynamic scaling of application resources to support real-time application servicing loads.

  • Publication number: 20200386246
Abstract: A hydraulic system includes first and second valve assemblies connected to a common pump. The first valve assembly includes a main valve housed inside a manifold. A pressure compensator valve maintains a constant pressure drop across a variable orifice of the main valve. A pressure limiter valve is in communication with the main valve and the pressure compensator valve, and allows an actuator connected to the first valve assembly to operate independently of the second valve assembly so that fluid flow to a work port of the first valve assembly is not interrupted by operation of the second valve assembly.
