  • Publication number: 20210014328
Abstract: A computer implemented method for determining the identity of an Over-the Top (OTT) application or service being accessed over the Internet from a HTTP, HTTPS or QUIC connection request received in a network monitoring device. Determine if one or more entries are present in the received connection request have an IP address that matches a known server IP address. A determination is then made as to whether if the received connection request is one of a HTTP, HTTPS or QUIC connection request, and if this cannot be determined than determine if a subject field in the received connection request is available. And determine if a candidate domain name is available from IP cache created from one or more of the above steps if a subject field is not available in the received connection request.

  • Publication number: 20210012337
Abstract: Payment instruments used on behalf of a sponsor may be restricted from use at certain locations. The sponsor may indicate that use of the payment instrument at either specific merchants or certain categories of merchants is not in accordance with the sponsor's goals or values. A system evaluates every transaction request to determine if the personal account number of the payment instrument is associated with the sponsor. If so, the transaction may be further screened to determine if the transaction is from a location to be blocked, in which case a flag may be added to the transaction indicating it is from blocked location. An issuer of the payment instrument may then determine whether to approve or deny the transaction. A tool may generate a dataset of locations and/or merchant categories for use in identifying blocked locations.

  • Publication number: 20210014227
Abstract: Systems and methods for authenticating presumptively incompatible elements in a digital network are provided. A method may include receiving an access request from a client node in the network. The access request may be requesting access to an application in the network. The access request may be associated with a uniform resource identifier (“URI”). The method may include extracting a target application from the URI. The method may include determining an authentication protocol that is supported by the target application. The method may include generating, based on the authentication protocol, a series of one or more authentication tests that, in combination, satisfy the authentication protocol. The authentication tests may satisfy the authentication protocol even when the client node natively supports a different authentication protocol. The method may include executing the series of authentication tests to authenticate the client node vis-à-vis the target application.

  • Publication number: 20210011689
Abstract: The disclosure describes methods and apparatus for quickly prototyping of a solution developed using one or more sensing devices (e.g., sensors), functional blocks, algorithm libraries, and customized logic. The methods produce firmware executable by a processor (e.g., a microcontroller) on an embedded device such as a development board, expansion board, or the like. By performing these methods on the apparatus described, a user is able to create a function prototype without having deep knowledge of the particular sensing device or any particular programming language. Prototypes developed as described herein enable the user to rapidly test ideas and develop sensing device proofs-of-concept. The solutions produced by the methods and apparatus improve the functioning of the sensor being prototyped and the operation of the embedded device where the sensor is integrated.

  • Patent number: 10891438
Abstract: Systems and methods for Deep Learning techniques based multi-purpose conversational agents for processing natural language queries. The traditional systems and methods provide for conversational systems for processing natural language queries but do not employ Deep Learning techniques, and thus are unable to process large number of intents. Embodiments of the present disclosure provide for Deep Learning techniques based multi-purpose conversational agents for processing the natural language queries by defining and logically integrating a plurality of components comprising of multi-purpose conversational agents, identifying an appropriate agent to process one or more natural language queries by a High Level Intent Identification technique, predicting a probable user intent, classifying the query, and generate a set of responses by querying or updating one or more knowledge graphs.

  • Patent number: 10893488
Abstract: Radio Frequency (RF) power back-off optimization techniques are described for specific absorption rate (SAR) compliance. A mobile device may be configured to intelligently modify antennas and radio device transmission levels to maintain compliance with SAR limits while minimally perturbing radio operations. The mobile device may implement a SAR optimization scheme that accounts for user presence and signal conditions to maintain compliance. Rather than setting a fixed back-off, user presence detectors may be employed along with information on current signal conditions to determine potential for excessive SAR exposure and selectively apply variable adjustments to RF transmission power (e.g., “back-offs”), accordingly. The mobile device may also be configured to report SAR conditions and/or mitigation actions to a base station to enable the base station to manage a connection to services based at least in part upon knowledge of SAR actions taken by the mobile computing device.

  • Patent number: 10891509
Abstract: There are described methods and systems for facilitating identification of an object-of-interest. A face similarity score and a body similarity score of a query image relative to a gallery image are determined. A fused similarity score of the query image relative to the gallery image is determined by applying a relationship between the face similarity score, the body similarity score, and the fused similarity score. The fused similarity score is indicative of whether or not the object-of-interest and the potential object-of-interest are the same object-of-interest. For example, a machine learning process is used to fuse the face similarity score and the body similarity into the fused similarity score. The process is repeated for multiple gallery images. The gallery images may then be ranked according to their respective fused similarity scores.

The method includes identifying sensitive fields of metadata for encryption and for hashing. The method also includes hashing at least partial values in the indexable sensitive fields to non-reversible hash values, concatenating the non-reversible hash values with the metadata for the network events, and encrypting the sensitive fields of metadata. Also included is sending the metadata for the network events, with the non-reversible hash values and the encrypted sensitive fields, to a remote database server that does not have a decryption key for the encrypted sensitive fields and that indexes the non-reversible hash values for indexed retrieval against the indexable sensitive fields.
