  • Publication number: 20230420757
Abstract: The present invention relates to the field of electrolyte design. Existing methods focus on optimizing the electrolyte composition on a stand-alone basis with respect to its properties and validating battery performance experimentally which is a time-consuming process. Thus, embodiments of present disclosure provide an automated method and system for identifying electrolyte composition for optimal battery performance. The system receives certain input parameters and computes transport properties using the input. Then, a feasible electrolyte composition is identified from a material database based on deviation index metric. The identified electrolyte composition is then optimized based on the input by considering the deviation index and battery performance metrics such as capacity fade and internal heat generation.

  • Publication number: 20230418711
Abstract: This disclosure provides methods and techniques of data replication involving cross replication group (RG) references. Example methods, systems, and techniques are disclosed regarding batch database replication (e.g., backup) and failover (e.g., automatic transition to a backup) between multiple database deployments or database providers. For example, a system causes database data to be stored in a primary deployment and replicated in one or more secondary deployments. In the event that data in the primary deployment is unavailable, transactions may be executed on one or more of the secondary deployments. When the original primary deployment becomes available again, any transactions executed on secondary deployments may be propagated to the primary deployment. The system may be configured such that queries on the database data are executed on the primary deployment at any time when the primary deployment is available.

  • Patent number: 11853267
Abstract: Embodiments are described for performing an uninterrupted backup in a storage system responsive to an abort event. A backup agent receives a plurality of file objects to be backed up on a target device during a first backup session. The backup agent initiates a parent interrupt service routine (ISR), which generates a plurality of child ISRs. Each of the plurality of child ISRs monitors a backup state of a corresponding file object. The parent ISR generates a virtual file object queue (VFOQ) to store a current backup state of each of the plurality of file objects. When an abort occurs, the current backup state of each of the plurality of file objects is saved in a respective child ISR of that file object. During a subsequent backup session, backup of the plurality of file objects commences based on the current backup state of each of the plurality of file objects.

  • Publication number: 20230409105
Abstract: Embodiments herein relate to avoiding damage to a transistor in a power-sinking device that receives power from an external power source via a Universal Serial Bus port. In one aspect, a controller of the device sets a current limit to a reduced level during a wait period after the external power source is connected to the power-sinking device. The wait period avoids damage to the transistor by allowing its input and output voltages to equalize before the current is increased. Upon expiration of the wait period, the current limit is increased to a level negotiated with the external power source. Other aspects involve considering a sleep or low/dead battery state of the power-sinking device. The current limit can be set by programming a current limit of a battery charger coupled to between the transistor and a power bus of the device.

  • Publication number: 20230409431
Abstract: This disclosure provides methods and techniques of data replication involving cross replication group (RG) references. The present disclosure avoids automatic replication failing when an entity in an RG refers to another entity external to the RG. The entity to be replicated within the RG is referred to as the “referring entity,” and the entity as the dangling reference is referred to as the “referred entity.” Although the referring and referred entities are not replicated together in a replication operation, the referred entity may have already been replicated to the target account in another replication operation on a different replication group. In such cases, the data replication procedure may, according to aspects of the present disclosure, check if the referred entity has already been replicated, and if so, proceed to replicate the referring entity without fail, and link the referring and referred entities to enable normal functioning of the referring entity.

  • Publication number: 20230410718
Abstract: A light emitter that operates through a display may cause display artifacts, even when the light emitter operates using non-visible wavelengths. Display artifacts caused by a light emitter that operates through a display may be referred to as emitter artifacts. To mitigate emitter artifacts, operating conditions for a display frame may be used to determine an optimal firing time for the light emitter during that display frame. The operating conditions used to determine the optimal firing time may include emitter operating conditions, display content statistics, display brightness, temperature, and refresh rate. Operating conditions from one or more previous frames may be stored in a frame buffer and may be used to help determine the optimal firing time for the light emitter during a display frame. Pixel values for the display may be modified to mitigate emitter artifacts.

  • Publication number: 20230410281
Abstract: Quality of weld images in with bad lighting condition and specific image color formats add constraints to existing automated weld inspection systems. Embodiments herein provide a method and system based on Domain Knowledge Infused Adaptive-Network-based Fuzzy Inference System (DKI-ANFIS) for weld quality inspection. The DKI-ANFIS inspects the quality of weld joint using domain driven quality inspection techniques. A segmentation algorithm is used to extract the weld joint in form of fractals followed by an unsupervised technique to extract useful geometrical features from the fractals. These geometrical features are used for quality index generation. A weld inspection model comprising the DKI-ANFIS is used for determining the quality of the weld joint. DKI-ANFIS modifies layers of ANFIS by infusing layer of domain knowledge to give better results even if there is a class imbalance in the data or the data is skewed or there is only a short corpus of data available.

  • Patent number: 11847110
Abstract: A database session in an active standby server on which an active standby database resides receives a DML statement. The session is suspended while the statement is redirected over a database link to a primary database on which the statement is executed. Information associated with execution of the statement is communicated to the session in the active standby server. Redo records describing changes to the contents of the primary database are applied to the active standby database and control is returned to the session. Prior to commitment of a transaction including the statement, a query directed to data to which the statement was directed is received at the active standby server from a client and executed on the active standby database absent use of a database link based on whether information associated with a database session associated with the client matches the information associated with execution of the statement.

  • Patent number: 11849196
Abstract: A method and system to automatically convert a presentation with slide materials to a digitized notetaking resource, by inputting a media stream from a presentation to a compute server, converting the media stream by segmenting the video into smaller segments, transcribing audio of the presenter's speech into text. Time stamp metadata is associated to elements of the segmented video (and, if available, slide data), audio, and transcribed text, and the elements are time ordered. A user interface is provided displaying elements of the segmented video/slide data and transcribed text. The user interface enables playback of the elements of the segmented video/slide data, audio of the presenter's speech, and transcribed text, wherein playback items are time-matched. Different times can be selected by a user, wherein the selected elements are made prominent in the display, with the audio of the presenter's speech also being time-matched to the selection.

  • Publication number: 20230401307
Abstract: A device is provisioned to communicate with a cloud service provider when the device is unable to establish a secure connection due to an invalid root certificate authority (CA) certificate installed at the device. The cloud service provider establishes a temporary non-secure connection between a device recovery service and the device. The device recovery service sends a signed updated root CA certificate to the device. Based on the signed updated root CA certificate, a secure connection is established between the device and operational functions at the cloud service provider.
