  • Publication number: 20240037206
Abstract: Centralized management of a Data Processing Unit (DPU) Baseboard Management Controller (BMC) through an integrated server remote access controller (iRAC) may include embedding a secure token in a communication from the iRAC to a BMC of a DPU, the secure token authorizing the iRAC to the DPU BMC and authorizing the DPU BMC to the iRAC. The secure token may include a first layer token authorizing the iRAC to the DPU and authorizing the DPU to the iRAC and a second layer token authorizing the DPU to the DPU BMC and authorizing the BMC to the DPU. Alternatively, the secure token may be generated by the iRAC generating an initial token authorizing the iRAC to the DPU and authorizing the DPU to the iRAC, the iRAC embedding the initial token in a request to the DPU for a resource of the DPU BMC and the DPU generating the secure token.

  • Publication number: 20240032475
Abstract: A system and method for grouping crop bales. A constituent sensor can sense properties of a crop material of a crop bale, with the sensed data being stored as a dataset. An operator can select a classification goal, each selectable classification goal having multiple categories that relate to different levels within the selected classification goal. Classification goals can assign weightages to properties of the datasets. A bale grouping computing device can group the datasets using a k-means clustering analysis, with each category of the selected classification goal providing a different cluster for the k-means clustering analysis. The assigned weightages can influence a determination as to a centroid location for each cluster. The cluster to which a dataset is assigned indicates the category to which the crop bale belongs. Crop bales assigned to the same cluster can be grouped together as having similar characteristics for purposes of the selected classification goal.

  • Patent number: 11886224
Abstract: A processing unit of a processing system compiles a priority queue listing of a plurality of processor cores to run a workload based on a cost of running the workload on each of the processor cores. The cost is based on at least one of a system usage policy, characteristics of the workload, and one or more physical constraints of each processor core. The processing unit selects a processor core based on the cost to run the workload and communicates an identifier of the selected processor core to an operating system of the processing system.

  • Patent number: 11886419
Abstract: A process of fulfilling a database deployment request for a data platform. A compute service manager of the data platform scans one or more accounts of a consumer region of the data platform for a pending listing fulfillment request, where the pending listing request includes a request for deployment of a consumer database and an associated share of grant metadata of the consumer database within the consumer region. When the compute service manager determines that an account of the one or more accounts has a pending listing fulfillment request, the compute service manager determines a listing for the pending listing fulfillment request based on listing data of the account. The compute service manager determines that no other fulfillment task is scheduled for the pending listing fulfillment request and schedules a background fulfillment task to perform the fulfillment process for the pending listing fulfillment request.

  • Patent number: 11888927
Abstract: A resource management system is disclosed herein that quickly and dynamically tailors application resource provisioning to real-time application resource consumption. The resource management system may service application requests using resources selected from a pool of servers, the pool of servers including a mixture of virtual server resources and serverless instance resources. The serverless instance resource may comprise software objects programmed using a machine image reflecting one or more states of a virtual application server booted using application-specific program code. Supporting an application using serverless instances enables dynamic scaling of application resources to support real-time application servicing loads.

  • Publication number: 20240028889
Abstract: This disclosure relates generally to method to determine an optimal set of atom centered symmetry functions. One or more parameters associated with one or more atom centered symmetry functions (ACSFs) are received. An initial set of ACSFs is generated by varying the one or more parameters. A histogram with a prespecified bin size is constructed to obtain a distribution of value of each of the initial set of ACSFs. A pruned list of ACSFs is obtained based on width and maximum value of the distribution of the value of initial set of ACSFs. The pruned list of ACSFs is sorted in decreasing order of spread to obtain a sorted list of ACSFs. An optimal set of one or more shortlisted ACSFs is determined by traversing through the sorted list of ACSFs. A high dimensional neural network potential is trained based on the optimal set of one or more shortlisted ACSFs.

  • Publication number: 20240027303
Abstract: A vehicle is received in a stationary controlled area of a controlled testing environment. Simulation inputs corresponding to a simulated scene are generated and transmitted to the vehicle. The vehicle applies torque in response. A vehicle control mechanism of the controlled testing environment, such as a chassis dynamometer, a motorized treadmill, or a lift, keeps the vehicle within the stationary controlled area during the test despite the torque applied by the vehicle. A path of the vehicle within the simulated scene is determined based on the applied torque, based upon which the vehicle's navigation system is calibrated.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a system and method for providing an input/output (I/O) attack prevention system and method for an Information Handling System (IHS) that is managed by a systems management console. One embodiment of the I/O device attack prevention system includes a systems manager in communication with multiple server IHSs configured in a data center. The IHS includes executable instructions to detect that an I/O device has been connected to an external I/O port of the IHS, and send information associated with the I/O device detection to the systems manager such that it determines whether the I/O device is authorized for use with the IHS. The IHS receives the results of the determination from the systems manager, and allows or disallows use of the I/O device with the IHS based on the results of the determination.

  • Publication number: 20240031923
Abstract: Examples described herein relate to a centralized service discovery management (CSDM) system and method for distributing service discovery records to access points (APs). The CSDM system receives a service discovery record from a source AP of a plurality of APs deployed in an information technology (IT) infrastructure. The CSDM system is deployed outside the IT infrastructure. The service discovery record comprises information about an application server. Further, the CSDM system generates a neighbor AP group for the application server based on nearness between the source AP and the rest of the plurality of APs, wherein the neighbor AP group includes a set of neighbor APs identified from the plurality of APs. Moreover, the CSDM system transmits the service discovery record to the set of neighbor APs so that the application server is discoverable by client devices connected to the set of neighbor APs.

  • Patent number: 11880308
Abstract: A cache subsystem is disclosed. The cache subsystem includes a cache configured to store information in cache lines arranged in a plurality of ways. A requestor circuit generates a request to access a particular cache line in the cache. A prediction circuit is configured to generate a prediction of which of the ways includes the particular cache line. A comparison circuit verifies the prediction by comparing a particular address tag associated with the particular cache line to a cache tag corresponding to a predicted one of the ways. Responsive to determining that the prediction was correct, a confirmation indication is stored indicating the correct prediction. For a subsequent request for the particular cache line, the cache is configured to forego a verification of the prediction that the particular cache line is included in the one of the ways based on the confirmation indication.
