  • Publication number: 20220045917
Abstract: An end user device connected to a network is comprises a memory unit, a processor operably coupled to the memory unit, and a client application stored in the memory unit. A sensing module processor senses inputs from one or more sources. The sources comprise points in the network, software applications running on the end user device, software integrated in an operating system of the end user device, and the processor of the end user device. A processing module processes the sensed inputs to determine changes in parameters of the network for enabling the network to provide either a particular quality of experience or a particular network slice. An acting module provides the determined changes as feedback to a server connected to the network. In response, the server effects the determined changes in the parameters of the network for providing either the particular quality of experience or the particular network slice.

  • Publication number: 20220044776
Abstract: A computerized method is presented for improving medical records of an individual based on received information from a device or wearable, the method comprising: retrieving from a record-keeping database medical-related information associated with the individual; retrieving from a device associated with the individual a measurable factor; determining, based at least partly on the medical-related information, that the measurable factor poses a medical risk to the individual; and communicating instructions to the record-keeping database to store, in association with the individual, information related to the medical risk. Other methods may associate a location with a medical risk. Other methods may aggregate medical information received from devices or wearables and associate it with a location. Mapping this information with regard to locations may allow early prediction of an epidemic.

  • Publication number: 20220042851
Abstract: One example temperature sensing device includes an electronic processor configured to receive a thermal image of a person captured by a thermal camera. The electronic processor is configured to determine a first temperature and a first location of a first hotspot on the person. The electronic processor is configured to determine a second location of a second hotspot on the person based on the second location being approximately symmetrical with respect to the first location about an axis, and the second hotspot having a second temperature that is approximately equal to the first temperature. The electronic processor is configured to determine a distance between the first location of the first hotspot and the second location of the second hotspot. In response to determining that the distance is within the predetermined range of distances, the electronic processor is configured to generate and output an estimated temperature of the person.

  • Publication number: 20220046738
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a user equipment (UE) may support multiple radio access technologies (RATs). The UE may communicate using both a Long Term Evolution (LTE) connection for control signaling and a New Radio (NR) connection for data signaling in a non-standalone (NSA) mode. However, if the UE uses a data rate below a threshold, the NR connection may be inefficient. To reduce processing overhead, the UE may fall back to using the LTE connection for data communications. For example, the UE may delay or abort adding an NR connection based on the data rate. In some examples, the UE may transmit a fake report or a fake uplink message to trigger dropping an NR connection. Additionally or alternatively, the UE may indicate a preferred mode of operation to the network indicating a preference for communicating data via an LTE connection.

  • Publication number: 20220043935
Abstract: System and methods are disclosed for redacting analyzing unstructured data in a request for data associated with a data subject to determine whether the unstructured data is relevant to the request. The relevancy of pieces of the unstructured data may be determined by determining a categorization for each such piece of unstructured data and comparing them to known personal data associated with the data subject having the same categorization. Pieces of the unstructured data that do not match known personal data having the same categorization are redacted from the request before the request is processed.

  • Publication number: 20220044719
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed toward probabilistic in-memory computing configurations and arrangements, and configurations of probabilistic bit devices (p-bits) for probabilistic in-memory computing. concept with emerging. A probabilistic in-memory computing device includes an array of p-bits, where each p-bit is disposed at or near horizontal and vertical wires. Each p-bit is a time-varying resistor that has a time-varying resistance, which follows a desired probability distribution. The time-varying resistance of each p-bit represents a weight in a weight matrix of a stochastic neural network. During operation, an input voltage is applied to the horizontal wires to control the current through each p-bit. The currents are accumulated in the vertical wires thereby performing respective multiply-and-accumulative (MAC) operations. Other embodiments may be described and/or claimed.

  • Patent number: 11246011
Abstract: Techniques are described herein for providing cellular access of a user-defined network. In one example, a user plane function of a cellular network obtains, from a control plane function of the cellular network, an indication that a first user equipment is attempting to connect to a user-defined network via the cellular network. The user plane function joins a multicast group configured to include a second user equipment connected to the user-defined network via a wireless local area network. The user plane function obtains a multicast packet that is transmitted between the first user equipment and the second user equipment and that is addressed to the multicast group, and converts the multicast packet to a unicast packet.
