  • Publication number: 20050067408
Abstract: An induction heating device for inductively heating an object to be heated which is formed of conductive material has a holder. The holder is positioned outside the object. The device has an exciting coil for inductively heating the object. The exciting coil is supported by the holder. The exciting coil is composed of a plurality of turns of conductor forming a layer, which is positioned along the object. The device also has a demagnetizing coil which is positioned along the layer of the exciting coil. In the demagnetizing coil, a back electromotive force is induced in accordance with a magnetic field produced by the exciting coil, so as to cancel the magnetic field. Stability in the temperature control for the object such as a heating roller can be improved by effective function of the demagnetizing coil. The device can be miniaturized and configured at low cost.

  • Patent number: 6228545
Abstract: A selenium photoconductor has a charge transport layer and a charge generation layer formed on a conductive substrate. Both the charge generation layer and the charge transport layer are made from a selenium-arsenic alloy, with the charge generation layer having a concentration of arsenic greater than the concentration of arsenic in the charge transport layer. This concentration distribution results in a photoconductor having excellent charge-generation efficiency and mobility. In an alternate embodiment, a halogen is doped into the charge generation layer and charge transport layer. The resulting photoconductor is useful in large-scale, high speed printing operations.

  • Patent number: 6095194
Abstract: The present invention relates to a pulsation suppression device which is interposingly used in a liquid transporting pipe through which a chemical liquid such as a surface washing liquid for washing an IC is transported by a reciprocal pump. The pulsation suppression device of the present invention has: a bellows which partitions the interior of the device body having a sealed container-like shape, into a liquid chamber and an gas chamber; an operating rod which is reciprocated in interlock relationship with the bellows; and an extension and contraction restricting mechanism which, when the bellows extends to a predetermined value, is contacted in parallel with a closed end face of the bellows, thereby restricting further extension of the bellows. Furthermore, the pulsation suppression device of the present invention has a guide for making the reciprocal operation of the operating rod coincident with the extension and contraction directions of the bellows. The guide is made of a low-friction resin material.

  • Patent number: 6041617
Abstract: According to the invention, the temperature and flow rate of cooling water for removing the heat of absorption are controlled artificially according to the cold output of load water by utilizing heated cooling water after the removal of the heat of absorption or heat source water, etc. According to the invention, a coolant tank and a load heat exchanger unit are provided as separate units. A load carrier is provided for cooling the load while partly evaporating the coolant through heat exchange between liquid coolant supplied from the coolant supplied from the coolant tank through a pump and the load. Mixture fluid of liquid coolant and vapor coolant after the heat exchange in the load cooler are returned to the coolant tank for separation of gas and liquid. Because the coolant tank and the load cooler are provided separately, the heat exchange with the load is performed by utilizing the latent heat of evaporation of coolant independently of possible temperature variations in the coolant tank.
