  • Publication number: 20160091885
Abstract: In a machining apparatus, a tool has a specified point for machining a workpiece, and a support supports the tool while a position and an orientation of the specified point of the tool are changeable. A actuator actuates the support to move the tool, and a sensor measures a magnitude and an orientation of force upon the force being applied to the tool. A determiner determines, upon the force being applied to the tool, a target orientation of the specified point of the tool according to the magnitude and the orientation of the force measured by the sensor. The force applied to the tool having an orientation to separate the tool from the workpiece. A controller controls the actuator to move the tool according to the determined target orientation.

  • Patent number: 8920169
Abstract: A mouth opening instrument includes an upper member suitable for attaching on an upper jaw side within the mouth of a patient and a lower member suitable for attaching on a lower jaw side. The instrument further includes a connecting section, a control section, and an input section. The connecting section connects end portions of the upper member and the lower member such that a resistance of opening or closing actions of the upper member and the lower member are controllable. The control section controls the resistance of opening or closing actions of the upper member and the lower member. The input section receives an operating state signal indicating an operating state of a dental treatment device. When the operating state signal indicating an operating state of a dental treatment device is inputted, the closing resistance of the upper member and the lower member is set to be greater than that at a time when the operating state signal is not inputted.

  • Patent number: 8886435
Abstract: A lock-up device supplies hydraulic pressure to a lock-up clutch when lock-up capacity becomes insufficient with increasing accelerator operation amount during slip control. The lock-up device (1) sets a hydraulic unit pressure command value corresponding to drive source torque so rotational speed difference becomes target slip speed when a variation in accelerator operation amount is in a predefined range, and deriving an estimated drive source output torque corresponding to the accelerator operation amount to set the pressure command value corresponding to the estimated drive source torque so the rotational speed difference becomes target slip speed when accelerator operation amount variation exceeds the range's upper limit, and (2) controls the hydraulic unit to supply hydraulic pressure corresponding to hydraulic pressure command value to the lock-up clutch.

  • Patent number: 8858397
Abstract: A training machine for enabling the exerciser to exercise under a load appropriate for the individual exercise capability and physical function of the exerciser. The exerciser (E) enters a desired velocity-load characteristic into a load characteristic input device (7), and the velocity-load characteristic is stored in the load characteristic memory device (8). A load instruction value is determined according to the velocity-load characteristic and to the velocity inputted from a velocity calculation means (6) into the load characteristic memory device (8) and transmitted to a control means (1). The control means (1) rotates a servomotor (2) with a torque instruction value corresponding to the load instruction value. A movement mechanism (3) converts the rotation into linear movement to move a movable unit (4). With this, the exerciser can carry out training of reciprocal movement.

  • Publication number: 20130316298
Abstract: In a method and apparatus for supporting dental implantation surgery, a three-dimensional CT image of jaws of an object is acquired. A reference site of the jaws and an implantation position of a gum in the jaws are set in the three-dimensional CT image. The implant is implanted at the implantation position. A three-dimensional optical image of an inside of an oral cavity of the object is then produced. The reference site is positionally set in the three-dimensional optical image through recognition of a shape of the reference site in the three-dimensional optical image. A surgical tool is positionally controlled to the implantation position in the oral cavity, based on i) a relationship between the position of the reference site and the implantation position of the gum in the three-dimensional CT image and ii) the position of the reference site in the three-dimensional optical image.
