  • Publication number: 20170218329
Abstract: Means which enables preparation of a thick cell aggregate by a simple process without an operation of detaching and stacking of cells is disclosed. The method for preparing a three-dimensional cell aggregate by the present invention comprises: a cell encasing step of placing a cell suspension in a cell container; and a pressure application step of applying pressure to cells in the container. The cell encasing step and the pressure application step may be carried out a plurality of times. By the present invention, a thick, robust cell aggregate can be obtained by a simple operation of applying pressure to a cell suspension or a medium containing cells. Since the method does not require an operation of stacking a plurality of cell sheets, the cells are hardly damaged, and the conditions of the cells can be favorably maintained, so that the cells can be advantageously used as a tissue piece for transplantation.

  • Patent number: 9239033
Abstract: An ECU controls a selector valve so as to connect a first pump passage and a second pump passage, and determines whether a fuel vapor leak from a fuel tank is in an allowable range based on a pressure in the fuel tank which is detected by a pressure sensor while a pump is driven to decrease a pressure in the fuel tank. The ECU opens a purge valve, whereby the fuel vapor adsorbed by a canister is introduce into an engine through an intake passage. The ECU controls the selector valve to connect a first pump passage and the second pump passage so as to circulate an atmospheric air in the pump while the purge valve is opened to introduce the fuel vapor into the internal combustion engine, whereby a foreign matter in the pump can be removed.

  • Patent number: 9046031
Abstract: A mask portion is provided at a partial area of an intake port at a side opposite to an exhaust port. The mask portion prevents a part of the intake port from being opened when the intake valve is in a low lift state. A top surface of a piston includes a smooth surface. An ECU sets the maximum lift of the intake valve for a variable valve mechanism to an intermediate lift and sets a fuel injection timing for an injector to a compression stroke when an operating range of the engine is a fast idle range. The intermediate lift is an amount of lift at which the intake valve is moved beyond the mask portion and a flow rate of intake air in the partial area is limited relative to a flow rate of the intake air in other areas owing to the mask portion.

  • Publication number: 20130263648
Abstract: A valve device includes a first valve body including a first seat portion that defines a first opening, a shaft reciprocatable in a direction of a center axis of the first opening, and a first valve member supported by the shaft to contact or be separated from the first seat portion in accordance with the reciprocation of the shaft. The first valve member contacts the first seat portion in an entire circumference of the first seat portion with deforming elastically due to a force from the first seat portion when the first valve member contacts the first seat portion in a state where a reciprocation direction of the shaft is inclined from the center axis of the first opening. Accordingly, air sealing of the valve device can be ensured even when the reciprocation direction of the shaft is inclined from the center axis of the first opening.
