    Abstract: PCI-Express (PCIE) is a Bus or I/O interconnect standard typically used for communication between a PCIE enabled computing system having a root complex and a plurality of peripheral devices, where the PCIE Bus may include a PCIE switch with a single inbound PCIE port. An outbound PCIE port on the root complex of the computing system connecting to the single inbound PCIE port of the PCIE switch. The invention describes a PCIE based interconnect scheme using a PCIE network switch to enable switching and inter-connection between multiple PCIE enabled computing systems to form a cluster for data transfer using PCIE protocol. For this, an outbound port enabled for interconnection, on each of the plurality of PCIE based computing systems in the cluster connect to one of a plurality of inbound PCIE ports on the PCIE network switch, enabling communication between the PCIE based computing systems of the cluster.

The closed-loop automation system employs a domain-independent semantic machine reasoning engine as an underlying engine. After detecting the issue in the managed network, the system searches through a knowledge base to find a match for the detected issue. The knowledge base includes previously collected knowledge from subject matter experts and maintenance teams. The system then proposes a remedial action to a user of the managed network for approval. After approval by the user, the system implements the remedial action.

    Abstract: A pulling mechanism using a motor, and a rolling tube or rod of sufficient strength to pull a patient lying on a sheet on the bed is provided to move patients up the bed with little manual effort. In most hospitals and care facilities a common problem is that patients tend to slip down the beds causing discomfort for the patient. Patients have to be moved-up to comfortable position on the bed. Currently this is done manually by two nursing staff one on either side of the bed, with the patient on a slide sheet and pulling the patient manually up using the slide sheet. This simple but strenuous operation has been the cause of back problems for many nursing staff. The current invention is a way to reduce or eliminate this injury to nursing staff by mechanizing the pull-up operation.

    Abstract: A method and process is described for providing Non-Invasive three dimensional (3-D) image of a patient such that during surgical or other procedures, the person performing the procedure can visually identify the organs and the location of the instruments in real time inside the body. Such a non-invasive imaging and reconstruction using spatially coordinated imaging in three dimensions is a very valuable tool especially to the surgical community. The high powered computing capabilities, advances in the imaging techniques, individually or in combination when combined with noise filtering and error correction capabilities, have made accurate 3-D imaging in real time from scans a reality. These 3-D images are also used as a diagnostic tool, a practice tool and a teaching tool by the medical community. There may be other applications in these and related areas which may emerge as technology develops and they become apparent to individuals practicing the art.
