  • Patent number: 4600245
Abstract: A liquid pressure control device for an anti-lock brake system is provided. The device includes a control valve which intermittently interrupts the liquid pressure feed from a master cylinder to a wheel cylinder, a liquid pressure control piston which moves in such a manner as to control the liquid pressure to the wheel cylinder, a differential pressure-responding member which closes the control valve and moves the liquid pressure control piston in conjunction with its forward motion, a stopper arranged engageably with the differential pressure-responding member located in its initial position, and a gas pressure chamber and liquid chamber, which produce the pressure difference acting on the differential pressure-responding member.

  • Patent number: 4551966
Abstract: Information storage mediums such as video discs are picked up by a pickup device and transferred one at a time to a storage position in which the video disc is placed on a disc rest. Casings stocked in a stocker are pushed one at a time by a casing pusher to the storage position. The casing is supported by a casing holder mechanism, retracted away from the storage position to allow the disc to be supported on the rest, and then displaced toward the storage position to let the disc be inserted into the casing supported on the holder mechanism. A completed assembly of the disc and casing is temporarily stocked, and a predetermined number of such stocked assemblies are discharged onto a discharge conveyor.

  • Patent number: 4392561
Abstract: A disc brake has a structure for supporting the friction pads in which a caliper body including a bridge section extending over a disc and first and second arm sections is provided with a pad spring for resiliently holding the upper portions of the friction pads to come in pressure contact with the sliding plane of the disc. The friction pads are provided at the upper parts of the backing plates thereof with recesses or projections, and the pad spring is constructed from a holder and a bent extension located at its center.

  • Patent number: 4346792
Abstract: A disk brake device disclosed herein comprises a brake caliper having a first and a second clamp arms that bridge over the brake disc, a movable friction pad connected to a pad pushing device disposed on the first clamp arm and opposing one side surface of the brake disc, a fixed friction pad disposed on the internal surface of the secnd clamp arm to oppose the other side surface of the brake disc, the fixed friction pad having a back plate, and a stopper detachably connected to the rear of the back plate. The second clamp arm has a window, which has a shape smaller than the back plate, opening to both internal and external side surfaces thereof, and a plurality of notches formed in opposed inner edges of the window.

  • Patent number: 4319669
Abstract: An improved screw type disc brake device particularly adapted for a small type automotive vehicle is disclosed in which a male screw member of a relatively large screw lead is screw-engaged with a caliper arm supporting a movable friction pad so that thrust due to forward rotation of the male screw member is utilized as an urging force to bring the movable friction pad into pressure contact with the brake disc. An automatic gap adjustment device is interposed between the male screw member and the movable friction pad for providing the movable friction pad with an advance feed for every reciprocating rotation of the male screw member. A manual adjustment bolt is screw-engaged through the center of the male screw member for adjusting the position of backward movement of the movable friction pad via the automatic gap adjustment device.

  • Patent number: 4176886
Abstract: A breaking apparatus for motorcycles in which a piston movable within a master cylinder for the front wheel, is actuated by operating a hand lever. Output and input liquid pressure chambers are provided in front and at the back of the piston, respectively. At least one auxiliary piston is movable within a master cylinder of the rear wheel, and may be actuated by operating a foot pedal. At least one output liquid pressure chamber is located in front of the auxiliary piston, and the output liquid pressure chambers of the master cylinder for front and rear brakes communicate with front and rear wheel brakes, respectively. The output liquid pressure chamber of the master cylinder for the rear wheel communicates with the input liquid pressure chamber of the master cylinder for the front wheel.
