Abstract: A live streaming system/method provides cross platform live streaming capabilities to mobile devices. The live streaming system includes a live streaming recorder operative to (1) capture a live media stream generated by a live media source and save the captured live media stream as a recorded stream in a recorded media file, and (2) transcode the recorded stream into a plurality of transcoded media files of respective different media encoding formats. The system further includes a stream distribution subsystem operative to generate a plurality of distributed media streams each generated from one or more of the transcoded media files, each distributed media stream being delivered to a corresponding set of the mobile endpoint devices.

The method includes calculating the loss probability for all possible numbers of active sources to take into account changes in the number of active sources as active sources connect to and disconnect from the network. As a result, the inventive method allows the number of active sources to vary in its estimation of end-to-end packet loss, delay, and delay jitter for enhanced Internet Protocol network planning.

Abstract: A policy server is arranged to construct device-neutral policies for configuring CBR for MPLS traffic engineering across a network. The policy server translates the device-neutral policies into device-specific commands (e.g. link attribute definitions and affinity profiles). The policy server defines the link attributes, assigns the link attributes to network interfaces, establishes affinity profiles and attaches the affinity profiles to MPLS tunnels. The link attribute definitions and affinity profiles are shared across the network to construct the policies such that IP operators can configure CBR easily across a network.

The customer policy includes a tunnel group identifier and a tunneling mode, and maps customer traffic to MPLS tunnels. Abstract: Trauma to the spinal cord initiates an inflammatory response that results in secondary injury to the surrounding tissue, thereby exacerbating the effects of the initial injury. These secondary injury effects are contributed to, in part, by the activation of complement and the associated inflammatory reaction at the site of injury. The present invention describes a method for treating and/or ameliorating these secondary effects and improving locomotor function of a vertebrate that has suffered a spinal cord injury by administering a complement inhibitory protein to the individual as soon as possible after the initial injury occurs. According to this method, by inhibiting the activation of complement, inflammation and the resulting secondary tissue injury are reduced, thereby improving the prognosis of a patient suffering a spinal cord injury.

The method is to immerse the units that are coated with diamond-like carbon films into the hydrogen chloride solution to come off the coating, which was located on the units' surface. In addition, the method can effectively improve the past fault of poor adhesion, resulting from excessive residual stress and damaged unit surface due to the conventional sandblasting film removing process.
