Abstract: There is provided a method of reducing transmission power. The method may comprise: receiving a network signal, if a carrier aggregation (CA) is configured and if the configured CA corresponds to an intra-band contiguous CA; applying an additional maximum power reduction (A-MPR) for a transmission, based on the network signal. If a configuration of the CA corresponds to a CA_1C and if the aggregated transmission bandwidth is the summation of 75 RBs and 75 RBs, a value of the A-MPR is specified for L_CRB>10. The L_CRB is a length of a contiguous resource block allocation.

Abstract: A wireless communication system that includes a relay node is disclosed. The relay node supporting carrier aggregation (CA) comprises a first antenna for performing communication with a base station through a backhaul link; a plurality of backhaul link radio frequency (RF) chains connected with the first antenna, for transmitting and receiving a radio signal for backhaul link transmission; a second antenna for performing communication with a user equipment through an access link; a plurality of access link RF units connected with the second antenna, for transmitting and receiving a radio signal for access link transmission; and a control unit controlling the plurality of backhaul link RF chains and the plurality of access link RF chains to share at least a part of RF components between the backhaul link RF chains and the access link RF chains.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a wireless communication system, more specifically, a transmitter used for wireless communication and a method for the same. The transmitter used for wireless communication comprises a plurality of transmitting antennas; a plurality of radio frequency (RF) chains configured for each of the transmitting antennas; a signal generator generating one or more transmitting signals at a base band; and an RF switch mapping the one or more transmitting signals into the plurality of RF chains.

Abstract: A radio communication system is disclosed. The method for transmitting a signal by a user equipment in a radio communication system includes generating a plurality of uplink signals, reducing maximum transmit power of the user equipment in consideration of a signal configuration for the plurality of uplink signals, and transmitting the plurality of uplink signals to a network within the range of the reduced maximum transmit power of the user equipment.

Abstract: An external puncture sealing patch for a vehicle tire is provided. The patch comprises a thin spiked pad made of flexible base and a number of sharp pins partially implanted in the base in a radial arrangement around a central void protruding vertically downward from the bottom surface of the base for penetratively engaging a depth of the tire about its puncture upon depression onto the top surface of the base. A thick coat of an elastomeric sealant is added to the spiked side of the patch for sealingly adhering the spiked pad to the tire as the sealant fills any irregular clearances between the spiked pad and tire to reinforce the attachment thereof. In order to keep the patch effective for an extended period of time, the patch is also provided in a contained form whereby the patch in a dual-purpose container can be quickly deployed at the time of need for application to a tire puncture in a safe and comfortable manner.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for recording data on an optical disc, are discussed. In an embodiment of the present invention, when recording of real-time input data in a high quality mode is requested, an Optimum Power Control (OPC) operation for recording is performed while input data is encoded in a quality mode, which is downwardly adjusted, for example, to a standard quality mode, and is then buffered in a buffer memory. After the OPC operation has been completed, the buffered data is recorded on the optical disc while the data is encoded in the requested high quality mode and is then buffered. Further, the input data is encoded in the requested high quality mode, but may be buffered in a hard disc, rather than the buffer memory, during the performance of the OPC operation.

Abstract: An ultra light but resistive ball device for exercise is provided comprising: a flexible sheet with least one preliminary broken section of collapse for allowing contraction of the sheet under bias about at least one flex point in response to an exertion of hand grip. The sheet has two free ends extending substantially half the circumference of the ball and partially folded back on the sheet. Two lateral apertures are located at opposite ends of the free ends to permit an uninterrupted collapse of the sheet. A sheath envelopes the sheet to provide a slip resistant exterior surface for grasping the ball.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for recording data on an optical disk calculates an optical power at a first recording speed, compares the calculated optical power to a predetermined value, and then determines whether to apply the first recording speed based on a result of the comparison. The optical power at the first recording speed is calculated based on a reference optical power and a measured optical power, and the predetermined value may correspond to the maximum allowable power of a laser pickup. The method and apparatus may be used to control the speeding, timing, and/power of a data recording operation, as well as to compensate for temperature variations and/or power margins of one or more circuits in an optical disk device.
