Patent number: 7334271Abstract: An improved toilet seat lifter is provided by a hands-free toilet seat control for controlling the positions of the toilet seat comprising a safety ratchet pedal connected to a gear/wheel unit which transmits the transitional or rotational ratchet movements of the pedal into an amplified circular push and pull of a control rod connected to the toilet seat via universal joints. The swivel control bar moved by the floor level pedal characterizes the toilet seat control of an embodiment of the present invention. The gear/wheel unit is rotated in a single direction to push and pull the control rod while counteracting the gravity fall of the seat to keep control. The simple but positive transmission of the transitional or rotational ratchet movements to the control rod allows for a power-assisted actuation of the gear/wheel unit and thus the toilet seat.Type: GrantFiled: June 29, 2005Date of Patent: February 26, 2008Inventor: Man-Young Jung

Publication number: 20070291603Abstract: A method and apparatus for recording data on an optical disk calculates an optical power at a first recording speed, compares the calculated optical power to a predetermined value, and then determines whether to apply the first recording speed based on a result of the comparison. The optical power at the first recording speed is calculated based on a reference optical power and a measured optical power, and the predetermined value may correspond to the maximum allowable power of a laser pickup. The method and apparatus may be used to control the speeding, timing, and/power of a data recording operation, as well as to compensate for temperature variations and/or power margins of one or more circuits in an optical disk device.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 29, 2007Publication date: December 20, 2007Inventor: Man Young Jung

Publication number: 20070270245Abstract: A sectional golf tee is provided comprising a lower tee half which is made of a rigid material for penetrating the ground, and an upper tee half which is mechanically and/or magnetically mated to the lower tee half along a common longitudinal axis to elevate a golf ball with a loose cord keeping the halves within a retrieving distance. To an omnidirectional hitting impact at the ball the upper tee half is totally compliant by its physical separation from the lower tee half overcoming the mechanical and/or magnetic attraction with zero resistance to the club movement.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 19, 2006Publication date: November 22, 2007Inventor: Man-Young Jung

Patent number: 7297073Abstract: A weight interchangeable golf putter is provided having a T shaped head. The head has a main body constituting the main weight and a striking face. From the trailing edge of the top surface a center tail extends rearward to form the T shape of putter plane. At the sides of the tail there are formed end fins with their free ends opened rearward to better guide the putter head through the air during the stroking address. The top of the back weight extends to near midway of the length of the tail and merges with the bottom of the tail. The back weight has a bottom surface in flush with the corresponding bottom of the main body and terminates with an end wall tapered gradually toward the main body to avoid hitting the ground when strokes are made. Three cylindrical bores are formed facing the same backward direction in the common 90-degree angle from the rear wall to receive different metal screws.Type: GrantFiled: July 9, 2005Date of Patent: November 20, 2007Inventor: Man Young Jung

Publication number: 20070223335Abstract: A method and apparatus of controlling an optical disk apparatus determines a reference recording power at each of a plurality of recording speeds for an inserted optical disk, performs a power control procedure for a prescribed recording speed to determine a recording power at the prescribed recording speed in response to a recording request, and then computes a recording power at each of the recording speeds based on the reference recording power and the recording power determined at the prescribed recording speed. The power control procedure is performed only for an inner circumferential area of the disk, irrespective of whether a requested recording speed is less than or greater than the prescribed recording speed. As a result, the speed of the data recording operation may be substantially improved and/or other improvements may be realized.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 29, 2007Publication date: September 27, 2007Inventor: Man Young Jung

Publication number: 20070215500Abstract: A golf club carrier mainly comprises an extrusion molded cylindrical frame with multiple integral sub-cylinders each longitudinally extending in parallel to accommodate at least the length of a golf club shaft. The sub-cylinders are latitudinally arranged in a circle into which a cylindrical container for holding accessories is inserted through a press fit. The container has a closed bottom, an open top and a hand-held lid removably attached to the open top for closing the same. The height of the container is much less than that of the main frame to allow an easy access to the contents in the container. At the end opposite from the container lid the main frame is reinforced for supporting the same on the ground.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 15, 2006Publication date: September 20, 2007Inventor: Man-Young Jung

Publication number: 20070071540Abstract: A bi-pole cleaning handle device for universal use with conventional cleaning instruments is provided. The device has a first side pole and a second side pole pivoted by swivel connectors side supports, respectively. Extending from the side supports is a base generally shaped as a rectangular shell to hold a cleaner head, which may be selected from a sponge block, brush, scrub head, squeegee, cleaning pad and any other suitable cleaning material. The fist side pole has a handle at its top and the second side pole has a similar handle. Each handle is angled with respect to the axis of its pole and has a grip on one side. This angle is set for the converging function of the bi-pole handle of the present invention as well as ergonomics in holdings by the user. The cross section of the grip is semicircular. The side poles and the handles can be either manipulated by left and right hands independently or by both hands simultaneously with the handle in unity.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 24, 2005Publication date: March 29, 2007Inventor: Man-Young Jung

Patent number: 7156443Abstract: A golf cart safety bar device is activated by occupied cart seats operatively installed on the cart frame to swivel about hinges and on spring biases. The safety bar device includes a pair of laterally adjacent driver/passenger seat bottoms each having a front end and a rear end. A weight is installed internally or externally of the cart frame to hold up the seat front at rest until the seating passenger depresses it. The weight means provides an eccentric weight about its own axis of rotation. A safety bar is fixed at one end to the weight means with the opposite end protruding upright at rest in preparation for a passenger to board the cart without a blocking. When passengers sit the safety bars are lowered limiting lateral outward movement of passengers from the cabin. The safety bars block the entrances or exits.Type: GrantFiled: December 23, 2005Date of Patent: January 2, 2007Inventor: Man Young Jung

Publication number: 20060264266Abstract: A modular golf club includes a head, a top shaft and a connector shaft between the head and the top shaft. The connector shaft has a couple of identical fastening means at both ends thereof. The fastening means is an insertion tip in the shape of regular hexagon and a union nut secured to the connector shaft slidably but with a limit defined by a radial flange at the base of the hexagonal tip. Either union nut has an inner thread toward its outer end the diameter of which is bigger than the flange to allow the union nut to be positioned over the hexagonal tip in a juxtaposed relationship.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 17, 2005Publication date: November 23, 2006Inventor: Man-Young Jung
