  • Publication number: 20230099002
Abstract: Aspects of the subject technology relate to power consuming processes of electronic devices. For example, an electronic device may create, initiate, and/or modify a power consuming process of the electronic device, based in part on user power consumption information that indicates a typical amount of power consumed by a user of the electronic device. The electronic device may recommend increases in power consumption for low power consumption users and/or decreases in power consumption for high power consumption users. • Patent number: 11617116
Abstract: Methods are provided in which devices vulnerable to performance degradation during a network offload process are identified and handled accordingly. In these methods, a network controller obtains data associated with operational performance of devices in a radio network during one or more offload procedures in which the devices are to be transitioned off of the radio network. The network controller further analyzes the data to determine impact to at least one performance parameter of the devices during the one or more offload procedures, and during a subsequent offload procedure, the network controller orchestrates offloading of the devices according to the impact determined to the at least one performance parameter based on the analyzing.

  • Patent number: 11614983
Abstract: A material failure forecasting system accesses historical failure data to forecasts future failures. The failure data of a material is analyzed using text processing techniques to identify failures and suspensions. The text processing techniques provide for identifying failures when fault words are associated with negations. A fault ontology establishes different failure modes that include primary, secondary and tertiary levels which enable identifying a sequence of failures. The failures thus identified are fitted to a data distribution selected from a plurality of data distributions. The parameters from the data distribution are used for simulating a demand profile for the material which considers interchangeability. Similarly failure data of the materials in an equipment can be analyzed and the reliability of the equipment can be estimated.

  • Patent number: 11615706
Abstract: Various aspects of a system and method for driving assistance along a path are disclosed herein. In accordance with an embodiment, a unique identifier is received from a communication device at an electronic control unit (ECU) of a first vehicle. The unique identifier is received when the first vehicle has reached a first location along a first portion of the path. A communication channel is established between the first vehicle and the communication device based on the received unique identifier. Data associated with a second portion of the path is received by the ECU from the communication device based on the established communication channel. Alert information associated with the second portion of the path is generated by the ECU based on the received data.

  • Publication number: 20230091899
Abstract: Machine-learned prediction of a blame frame of a crash stack. Specifically, a crash stack associated with a crash is parsed into a sequence of frames. The blame frame of the crash stack is estimated by, for each of a plurality of the sequence of frames, identifying a plurality of features of the corresponding frame, feeding the plurality of features to a neural network, and using the output of the neural network to make a prediction on whether the corresponding frame is a blame frame of the crash. If this is done during training time, the predicted blame frame can be compared against the actual blame frame, resulting in an adjustment of the neural network. Through appropriate featurization of the frames, and by use of the neural network, the prediction can be made cross-application and considering the context of the frame within the crash stack.

  • Publication number: 20230092286
Abstract: A process for receiving, from a computing device, a series of captured building images. The process continues by processing, in real-time, each building image in the series of captured building images to determine if each building image meets a minimum criterion, wherein the minimum criteria includes applicability to be used in constructing a specific digital multi-dimensional building model. The process continues by aggregating each image meeting the minimum criteria, determining when a base set of building images has been aggregated, wherein the base set of building images includes a threshold number images to model at least a partial multi-dimensional building model representing the series of captured building images, determining one or more facades present in the partial multi-dimensional building model, determining preliminary dimensions for one or more architectural features of the one or more facades and returning, incrementally (in real-time), the preliminary dimensions to the computing device.

  • Publication number: 20230085446
Abstract: A system for restricting spinal flexion includes a compliance member having a body and an elongation limit. The body typically comprises a spring or other tension element which provides elastic constraint to the spinal segment when the compliance member is attached to the spinous processes. The elongation limit prevents overextension of the compliance member, thus reducing the likelihood that the patient will experience over flexion of the spinal segment and reducing the risk of placing excessive mechanical load on the compliance member.

  • Publication number: 20230084792
Abstract: A network appliance receives a communication from a client device that includes a request to establish a network connection to a server. Prior to initiating a network connection between the network appliance and the server, the network appliance accesses a server certificate issued by the server. In response to a determination, based on application of a policy to the server certificate, not to decrypt data transmitted between the client device and the server, the network appliance establishes only a single connection between the network appliance and the server. The network appliance transmits encrypted data between the client device and the server over the single connection.

  • Publication number: 20230079815
Abstract: An approach is disclosed that inputs data points to a trained artificial intelligence (AI) model with an outlier model that identifies data points on which the AI model has been trained. A value is received from the outlier model corresponding to each of the data points with the received value being a prediction of whether the AI model has been trained on the respective data point. A bias analysis is performed on the trained AI model using a subset of the data points that received a prediction that indicates that the trained AI model was trained with the respective data point.

  • Publication number: 20230080824
Abstract: A method for execution by a storage unit in a dispersed storage network (DSN) includes selecting a storage zone of a memory device of the storage unit based on zone allocation parameters, and designating the selected storage zone as open for writes. A data slice is received via a network for storage. The data slice is written sequentially at a memory location of the one of storage zone based on determining that the storage zone is designated as open for writes. A pointer corresponding to the data slice that indicates the storage zone and the memory location is generated. A read request is received via the network from a requesting entity that indicates the data slice. The data slice is retrieved from the memory device based on the pointer, and is transmitted to the requesting entity.

  • Patent number: 11605126
Abstract: The concept involves efficiently using machine learning to quickly identify possible fraudulent applications in small business loan and credit applications by automatically flagging applications that meet certain criteria. In one preferred implementation, the tool compares a business description to a selected NAICS code in a loan application to assess the potential for fraud. Specifically, an algorithm can match the leftmost two digits of the selected code with the description of the category from an applicant. An engine calculates a probability of a fraud score based on the matching attached to the application. Because the tool detects fraud proactively rather than reactively, it substantially reduces computational costs and resources and reduces the biases associated with highly intensive manual work.
