  • Patent number: 9020900
Abstract: A distributed, deduplicated storage system according to certain embodiments is arranged in a parallel configuration including multiple deduplication nodes. Deduplicated data is distributed across the deduplication nodes. The deduplication nodes can be networked together and communicate with one another according using a light-weight, customized communication scheme (e.g., a scheme based on FTP or HTTP). In some cases, deduplication management information including deduplication signatures and/or other metadata is stored separately from the deduplicated data in deduplication management nodes, improving performance and scalability.

  • Patent number: 8994459
Abstract: There is provided an oscillator arrangement for generating a clock signal. The oscillator arrangement comprises a current controlled oscillator, a frequency to voltage converter, and an operational amplifier. The oscillator arrangement is connectable to a supply voltage source. In one embodiment, the oscillator arrangement may achieve a stable clock frequency insensitive to supply and temperature variation with low current consumption and low area. This may be achieved by using Vref and Vout as input signals to the operational amplifier, both signals being directly derived from the supply voltage. In a further embodiment, a trimming resistor may be used in the frequency to voltage converter for adjusting the frequency.

  • Publication number: 20150088135
Abstract: A method of correcting a bone deformity includes fixing first and second support members to first and second fragments of a bone, respectively. The first support member may have a receiver connected thereto. First and second tracking devices are connected to the first and second bone fragments, respectively. A deformity correction plan is determined, and a position of the first support member is adjusted relative to the second support member based on the plan. Location data is transmitted from the first and second trackers to the receiver. Based on the tracker location data, a real position of the first and second bone fragments is determined. The real position of the first and second bone fragment is compared to the deformity correction plan, and the deformity correction plan is reprogrammed based on the comparison. The first and second support members may then be adjusted based on the reprogrammed deformity correction plan.

  • Publication number: 20150066990
Abstract: Systems and methods for identifying entities sharing a temporal pattern using bipartite graphs are described. In one embodiment, a method includes identifying a temporal pattern in a sequence of bipartite graphs for a sequence of records involving two entity types, where records of the sequence of bipartite graphs vary according to time. An embodiment may color code the edges between entity types in the sequence of bipartite graphs according to the at least one temporal pattern identified (e.g., increasing sales between a business representative and a customer). An embodiment may therefore identify a time-based relationship between at least two entities according to the coded edges. Given the identification of entities having a time-based relationships, groups of these entities may be identified and trends may be derived therefrom (e.g., increasing sales for business units of a particular geographic region).

  • Patent number: 8954446
Abstract: A storage system according to certain embodiments includes a client-side repository (CSR). The CSR may communicate with a client at a higher data transfer rate than the rate used for communication between the client and secondary storage. During copy operations, for instance, some or all of the data being backed up or otherwise copied to secondary storage is stored in the CSR. During restore operations, copies of the data stored in the CSR is accessed from the CSR instead of from secondary storage, improving performance. Remaining data blocks not stored in the CSR can be restored from secondary storage.
