    Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for provided for automatic evaluation of a human embryo. An image of the embryo is obtained and provided to a neural network to generate a plurality of values representing the morphology of the embryo. The plurality of values representing the morphology of the embryo are evaluated at an expert system to provide an output class representing one of a current quality of the embryo, a future quality of the embryo, a likelihood that implantation of the embryo will be successful, and a likelihood that implantation of the embryo will result in a live birth.

Introduced herein is a game controller that employs a dedicated input, which is capable of the absolute accuracy of a mouse input or trackball input, but is also capable of measuring how far off center the input is (e.g., how far off center it has moved), and can also return to center when released, as is present in a joystick input. The introduced game controller integrates a touch sensing trackball to enjoy the benefits of both the mouse type input and joystick type input, in a single dedicated input, providing a user freedom to play any type of game without worrying about the compatibility of their game controllers.

A hang detection framework may model a distributed computing environment as a complex forest of interrelated requests. The hang detection framework may generate hang graphs based upon requests that are being processed and/or waited upon within the distributed environment. For example, a node within an acyclic graph may represent an execution entity that is currently processing one or more requests. Directed edges that connect one node to another may represent requests upon which an execution entity is waiting for another execution node to fulfill. The model may be used to isolate and address the root cause of hangs within the computing environment.

    Abstract: A method of producing power semiconductor devices from a silicon-on-insulator (SOI) wafer is described. The SOI wafer includes a silicon device layer, a bulk silicon wafer, and a buried oxide layer separating the silicon device layer from the bulk silicon wafer. The method includes: forming a hard mask on the silicon device layer, wherein the hard mask covers one or more first regions of the silicon device layer and exposes one or more second regions of the silicon device layer; and before forming any field oxide structures and before implanting any device regions, selectively growing epitaxial silicon on the one or more second regions of the silicon device layer exposed by the hard mask such that the thickness of the one or more second regions is increased relative to the one or more first regions. Various devices produced according to the method are also described.
