  • Patent number: 11422987
Abstract: A system and method for facilitating a migration engine to migrate data items in a data directory from a source system to a destination system over multiple migration passes are disclosed. A state file can be used to track migration states of data items during the life cycle of the migration. The state file can be generated and updated by a plugin to the migration engine. During a migration pass, the state file can be loaded into the memory to influence the migration by the migration engine. Prior to the migration pass, migration profile specifying one or more migration actions can be invoked by a migration routine. The invocation of the migration profile can cause the state file to be modified to perform the migration actions accordingly.

  • Patent number: 11422991
Abstract: An information management system provides a data deduplication system that uses a primary table, a deduplication chunk table, and a chunk integrity table to ensure that a referenced deduplicated data block is only verified once during the data verification of a backup or other replication operation. The data deduplication system may reduce the computational and storage overhead associated with traditional data verification processes. The primary table, the deduplication chunk table, and the chunk integrity table, all of which may be stored in a deduplication database, can also ensure synchronization between the deduplication database and secondary storage devices.

Logic may monitor one or more control units at one or more observation layers of an in-vehicle network, each of the one or more control units to perform a vehicle function. Logic may combine observations of the one or more control units at the one or more observation layers. Logic may determine, based on a combination of the observations, that one or more of the observations represent an intrusion. Logic may determine, based at least on the observations, characteristics of an attack, and to pass the characteristics of the attack information to a forensic logging system to log the attack or pass the characteristics of the attack to a recovery system for informed selection of recovery procedures. Logic may dynamically adjust a threshold for detection of suspicious activity.

  • Publication number: 20220261321
Abstract: An information management system implements a method for determining whether to initiate a failover of a storage manager in the system. Nodes in the system may be assigned as monitoring nodes configured to communicate with a storage manager. Furthermore, each monitoring node may be configured to transmit a status inquiry message to each other monitoring node, and each monitoring node may receive a status inquiry message from each other monitoring node. Each monitoring node may also generate a session message comprising status information, and a plurality of failover nodes may receive the generated session messages. A failover node may then determine whether a failover condition has occurred by applying a plurality of failover rules to the status information of the transmitted session message. Where the failover node determines that a failover condition has occurred, the failover node may activate an offline storage manager to replace the active storage manager.
